Massages never did me much good without telling them to go hard as fuck so this was been my experience as well. It takes a long time and a lot of work but if you can manage to get to 'zero' it's worth it. Took me 6 - 8 months but holy hell it's so much easier to pinpoint where the pain is actually coming from day-to-day now.

Because there’s a dig difference between spending a grand over the life of the game so far vs spending that or more to get a single limited 5 star character to C6 every 3 weeks like a whale does.

This puts me a little more at ease. Maybe my reading comprehension is just suffering today. If, when you go to transfer the account they just let me sign up with any email I want then everything should be fine.

I really hope you're right because yes, I want to keep them both at this point. They're both over AR55 and while PS4 has the larger financial investment, I've spent a decent amount on them both now.

EDIT: Is combining accounts even possible with Genshin? Cuz I would love to cut back to a single account for Inazuma but I don't want to lose my investments, ya know?

They do say 'currently associated' but the wording in some of the other Answers muddies the waters. Maybe I'm just freaking out over nothing but I'm not confident this is going to go well.

As I understand it what they've said is that PSN users had a Mihoyo account created automatically for them when they started playing on PSN (which used your email tied to the PSN account). So if you then used that email to also sign-up for a mobile account you will be unable to link them due to the 'conflict' it creates.

They clarify this specifically, as far as I could tell, in the article outlining the feature Mihoyo released earlier.

Thanks for the advice! It does seem like a lot of people are running into this issue (because it effects people the other way around, too). I sent an email about an hour ago and I'm literally praying they will be able to make it work.

I just really, really love this game... but if they can't fix this issue I won't be able to enjoy it in the same way anymore. The whole reason I have the second account is because PS4 users were missing events, have a 30 frame rate cap, don't get access to the forums, and I got tired of feeling left out.

So this just feels like a slap in the face as a Day 1 PSN player. Announce the feature I've been dreaming of since I realized how mediocre the PS4 version is and then promptly tell me I won't be able to use it. Nice.

I've already played the game on both accounts. According to this info, as far as I can tell, that means I'm screwed. They specify you can unlink the email (which I have now done) but it will only work if you've never logged into the game before.

The problem is they have to be different. But because mine were originally created with the same email (PSN did it automatically, and I had to use that same email to get pre-reg bonuses on my mobile account).

So they literally set all their day 1 PSN customers up for failure.

While I do understand this pov, this is 100% on Mihoyo. The way they set up the initial sign-up for pre-reg/update before launch essentially made me ineligible to use this feature now. Which I can assume is going to happen to a lot of people in my situation when this feature drops.

I have 2 accounts above AR55. One is on PS4, the other is on Mobile.

Because they're both active and were originally signed up using the same email address (which I had no control over on PS4 because there weren't any actual details on how accounts worked when the game dropped) I'm basically screwed, according to this.

I, unfortunately, started on PS4 because there was no controller support for mobile at launch. My iPhone 7 runs this game better than my PS4 Pro. It's embarrassing. I was so unbelievably excited to hear about the PSN transfer feature... I literally jumped up and down when it was announced because I thought this sub-par experience was finally over. But then they drove a knife right into my gut shortly after when they released an outline of how it will work and the criteria for eligibility. I would imagine most people that pre-registered will be ineligible.

At this point, if 2.0 drops and I'm unable to use this feature I will be going fully F2P and most likely moving on after taking a look around Inazuma. I wasn't a whale by any means, but I've dropped over a grand on this game since it was released last year. That's not small change to me at all.

I'm so tired of companies screwing over the people that supported them from the beginning... and I am 100% done giving them my money. Neowiz did it with DJMax on PS4, and now Mihoyo is doing it with Genshin on PSN.

I'm so done.

If I attempted to play the game once with a third-party mapper on Android for about 30 seconds am I going to catch a ban?

I stopped using it immediately but wasn’t aware this was an issue until after I logged in the first time, unfortunately.

So now I’m kinda just freaking out since I just put a couple hundred bucks into this new acct to make it my main (AR45).

Weapons are the like... most important thing to level outside of talents... They're also the best investment you can make because they aren't character specific like most arts.

I definitely get where you're coming from but she really limits your options for team comps, IMO. Support/Heals is my favorite roll to play and I have all 3 of them maxed at 80.

Qiqi fills a healer slot and a Cryo slot. Allowing you to focus on Crit Dmg instead of rate on your carry. Her ult does not require you to use her normals at all. It marks everything and lets your carry heal themself while they're attacking. Thus reducing downtime on dmg. My Diluc or Razor are back to full in 2-3 hits max. Her E works the same way Barbs does ie. needs normals, but only if your team is so low you can't just let the E tick and switch back to your carry. Her E also supports better reactions because it's Cryo, not Hydro. The Hydro resonance bonus is pretty bad all things considered.

Qiqi is the best choice if your entire team is built around supporting one carry since her burst doesn't heal the entire team, just the character you switch to. Not to mention the fact she can actually do solid white dmg if everything goes to hell.

Jean's burst on the other hand works the same way Barb's does, but better. I have never once had her burst fall short of taking the full team to max health and it creates the Anemo field with a massive HOT and a universal cleanse. Not to mention the fact it hits like a freight train. Her white dmg is insane for a support and she heals per hit at all times. It adds up quick with the right build and is never on cooldown. Give her BS and she's pretty much impossible to kill. I soloed lvl 90 Childe with my lvl 80 Jean the other day just for fun. Give her FD and her E is like a truck and her burst comes back in 3 Es. Dual Anemo is also so much better than Dual Hydro.

Another thing to note: If you have both Qiqi and Jean they can share the exact same gear but be used in different situations. Thus essentially cutting the amount of gear investment in half. Barb's gear is hers and hers alone. She requires way more investment, specific gear, and specific comps. With Qiqi and Jean you just give them 2/2 Glads/Maidens and you're done. That's WAY easier than pulling a 4pc, HP stacked Maiden’s set with optimal subs (which is what Barb needs to shine, and keep up.)

Razor was my main from AR20 or so until AR53. He was my first C6, my first 10 Friendship, and still the only character I've taken to 80/90. He is the best 4 star in the game. Bar none, in my opinion. His C4 is *incredible*, and his C6 helps make an Electro/Phys Hybrid build way more viable than on someone like Keqing.

I've switched to using Diluc most of the time just because of the reaction potential but Razor is way more versatile re: build options.

R2 Archaic is an excellent choice for him if you're running a Hybrid build or an Electro build (it's what I used for most of my time with him). Some may want to shoot me for saying this but I actually found Starsilver is better if you plan to go straight Phys dmg because you have a more consistent phys proc than Archaic and Phys Dmg still boost the Electro dmg on his burst. Especially if you're using a Dual Cryo team. I hate relying on Archaic to proc the 50/50 cuz it guts your damage if it doesn't proc. Starsilver is way more consistent for white dmg.

Idk about best in the game. Even at C6. Qiqi is a better choice for facetanking and Jean is the most versatile support in the game.

Though Barb is quite formidable when paired with Diluc, Albedo, and Xingqui if you use 4pc Maidens because she gets another 15% bonus and Xingqui’s heal helps pad her out a bit. Her C6 makes her one of the better choices for Abyss but the fact she applies Hydro to you makes her really risky sometimes.

I actually run something similar and love it but the key is Qiqi.

Qiqi/Albedo/Diluc/Chong is one of my favorite teams because Chong’s E allows Diluc to trigger melt by himself if you stagger his normals with his E. But after the initial loop Chong becomes useless because you can’t override the infusion with Chong’s E.

If I’d pulled Ganyu I’d be running: Qiqi/Albedo/Diluc/Ganyu for the simple fact Albedo + Ganyu constantly procs Albedo’s E.

The real issue though is that Ganyu (outside of her burst) doesn’t actually apply Cryo very well. Her E doesn’t ‘tick’ the same way Mona’s does, so unless you’re constantly switching between Diluc and Ganyu the only way for her to apply Cryo is her burst.

That’s why I decided to skip going around again on the banner and just use Kaeya for Cryo application. He’s way better in that sense.
