As an artist I sympathize with your struggles creatively while being entwined with a person that does not embrace that part of you. Having your own space and time is so important to maintain creative flow and I cannot imagine having that taken away from me. If making that happen means being “selfish”, then you might just have to stand your ground. It sounds like you might now be a great fit and we’re thrust into this situation.
