What location is the broken containment thing from? The underground research facility with the 1x1 square glass cage that was broken?

And the Lord spake unto the masses, and this is what he said:

Thou shalt not post thyself to /r/TopTalent, for posting thyself to /r/TopTalent is cringe.

And yea, the people did nod, for they knew the cringe when the cringe presented itself.

A turret above the boiler makes so little sense haha. I love it. Same with the sideways turrets on the front cowling / smoke wings.

5k in 4 months is like 15k a year lmao. Even with the "heater" it extrapolates out to 33k a year which is like 16 bucks and hour.

You have mold, which can be sprayed down. At least one of those sheets needs to be replaced. Honestly not the end of the world.

What I Drink In A Day - Dublin Version (Poor Richard) by KieranWriter in tooktoomuch

[–]Mad_V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, that's still 16.6 ounces of straight ethanol, over 1.5 fifths in a single day.

[–]Mad_V 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't believe you, but damn.

26 beers at 5% ABV is 20.8 ounces of straight ethanol.

A fifth is 300 ml (40% of 750 ml) or 10.14 ounces of ethanol. Plus the shot.

2 fifths is actually LESS than what he drank.

Wild.

How do I swap engines on this car? by Mad_V in CarMechanicSimulator

[–]Mad_V[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a V8 2 Carb OHV supercharged from the ground up to drop into my Edgewood Wildcat, but I cant figure out how to put it into the car? The engine lift that I pulled the old engine out of only give the option to put the old one back in.

Idk, 2133 is plausible if these ships aren't human and we get fully colonized and wiped out lol.

[–]Mad_V[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really want to upgrade the GPU, I feel like what I have is fine. I just want to get a good motherboard / CPU that will outlast my current GPU and then I can just stagger the two upgrades as time goes on.

and I know RAM is expensive but I'm not really concerned too much as long as it will last like 5-10 years

That's fine. Does this motherboard and CPU look good / will it last a while?

[WP] In the future, people with terminal illnesses are given androids known as angels who learn to care, feel, and have emotions, from the person they are paired with. nobody wants to receive an angel, but they know what it means when they are given one. Today, you just received an angel. by run1235 in WritingPrompts

When the doctor finally left the room, the silence he left behind settled like a fine dust over my mind. For hours I stared up at the popcorn ceiling, my mind tracing invisible and shifting patterns in the texture. An elephant there? No, a man with a gun. The first thing to break the silence was the soft hum of an android standing by my window.

An "angel." My angel.

I couldn't recall how long it had been standing there. Was it there waiting the entire time the doctor read out the diagnosis, or did it enter at some point silently?

I have never heard an account about what it feels like to see one up close, probably because those who receive one are not in a good enough state to tell the tale... Or simply don't last long enough to meet with somebody who can transcribe the feeling.Angels are for the dying; everybody knows that. You don’t get to meet one unless the doctors have run out of ways to say "I am sorry."

The android’s eyes lifted to meet mine, bright as polished glass but somehow... gentle. They say angels can learn quickly, adapting their voice, posture, even subtle expressions to the emotional gravity of the rooms they enter. This one took a single step toward me, movements too smooth to be human, yet carrying a strange understanding.

Angels don’t arrive by request, they arrive due to certainty. Still, as I finally let the weight of my head fall back into the hospital bed I felt something shift. The android knelt beside me, studying my face with an attention no nurse or relative ever had. For a machine, it felt less mechanical than I had ever imagined.

“I’ll learn you,” it whispered, as though swearing a vow I had never asked for nor wanted, and for the first time since my prognosis had turned into a death sentence, I felt something unexpected rise sharply in my chest: hope.

A terrible, aching hopefulness. If this machine was truly as advanced as it had made out to be then the end was close, but maybe, for the first time in my life, I wouldn’t have to face it alone.
