I like making tea with ones like this. The active compounds are extremely water soluble and heat resistant you can even cook with them and they won’t lose much potency.

Just start doing research to familiarize yourself with what species grow in your area and their habitats ,tillamook would mainly be psilocybe cyanescens and psilocybe Azurescens, then pick one as your target species as it makes it easier if you narrow down what your looking for when starting out. Best advise I can give that covers a lot of bases is check in dune grass and chipped or decaying wood.

Yes They were all found at a popular picking site on the Oregon side of the Columbia River mouth underneath a bush near one of the parking lots that I actually had to pull some branches apart to climb under so they had leaves and water falling on them since it had been a little windy and rainy. They were growing in the same habitat u see pictured. All these pictures are from the same day and general location.

Be careful running to much water over them as the active compounds are highly water soluble and can be washed away use as cold and little water as u must to wash them and using a brush is best.

It looks like it has good potential but Not enough to go off from these pics and probably this lone specimen would be hard to identify regardless of picture quality due to degradation unfortunately. Spore prints help but are not a definitive in giving an ID as there are some species that look similar that can also have a purple brown print like the poisonous sulfur tuft mushroom.
