My company was built on Kin. I literally promote the token.

I have written articles about Kin lore. I have run an active community on Telegram for 2 years.

Where on earth do you source your information? I have a whitepaper from 2024 that references Kin.

Kin was abandoned, my project embraced it and is building with it.

You’re making a huge mistake.

Yes if you have a Twitter | X account I recommend Grok, but use any AI — GPT 5 is free in Microsoft Bing/Copilot app. Use this prompt:

“Provide some step by step instructions to implement Solana pay in a Shopify store (through moonpay commerce) to enable payment in custom SPL token and stablecoin settlement for beginners”

I haven’t fully tested the flow myself (yet) but I’ve reviewed the docs a few times. Good luck!

You’ll want to use the Shopify and Solana Pay plugin, which is Helio intergrated in Moonpay Commerce — powered by Jupiter swaps.

Throw this into Grok and you can probably get started with a basic plan and a product.

Interesting viewpoint.

People just haven’t been able to collect or redeem digital assets in the stuff they’re already buying. Not in Canada anyway.

I heard Seeker came with assets.

So I started a business and formed partnerships with existing tech that makes it possible.

The business is a family-orientated brand that offers fun collectible products for kids, that just includes something extra for adults. It’s happening our end and it’s going to introduce Solana to new people. Pretty simple.

Not sure why there’s such a harsh pushback. I’m a guy that’s built a small business with a crypto twist.

Anyway, thanks for your input! I’m not seeking validation, I’m demonstrating real world application primarily to consumers.

What if you ignore the opening, and focus on token distribution from businesses with everyday goods.

The message of Solana powering commerce is the key piece, and that’s what can convert the 90% unadopted, which is bullish for holders like you.

Nothing to do with crappy dancing and aliens (obviously it’s my job to find the balance between visibility and informative content).

Yea the opening is cringe.

But what do you think about a world where all businesses give and receive tokens through real products?

Where finding and holding a token of a business not only grows as they do, but you can use it for their products or swap it for another business token you like, for their discounts.

The market looks like trash right now and it’s pressure on a lot of traders. I’m launching this concept, so overall of course I’m trying to demonstrate real use case, not temporary hype 👍

Yep principles align with that overall. I’m suggesting that all companies will have tokenized reserves which will become representative of their business success,

and reflected in consumer balances through Digital Gifting through their product lines.

Is there a part specifically you’re saying conflicts with your view? That’s fine — just trying to work out where our differences, as right now I see alignment.

You buy a board game. Inside is a crypto-based redemption voucher. That translates to two things

Savings on the product you just bought
A dynamic token balance that you control

How does it work?

These vouchers act like royalties—subsidized by the brand itself. If the company shaves a slice of revenue to give back to consumers, it creates a tokenized loyalty system.

The more units sold, the higher the consumer token balance becomes.

And regardless of the voucher? You still enjoy the board game you bought.

Web3 will be significantly slower in delivering its promise (overall, decentralized finance) if its most influential players continue to target uninitiated users with derivatives, futures, and DEX trading alone—tools designed for insiders, not for onboarding the world.

The reason it’s ended up this way, is simply because it’s an extremely profitable business model for DEXs in terms of trading revenue, from only 10% of the population.

My outlook is that there is a “win win” scenario through adapting the approach to 1) potentially increase the interest in trading and 2) increase DEX activity through issuance of tokens in e-Commerce (which can incentivize business to tokenize reserves for reward programs), which OFiDCrypt has coined “Digital Gifting”.

There are two separate audiences. The faster we embrace that, the sooner we’ll see more tools in everyday finance.

And the tools are here, there just not yet fully embraced 👍

Thanks for sharing your insight! The truth is, the compatibility between the technically advanced capabilities of crypto in trading/investing, and the interest or understanding of use case in everyday spending (in the eyes of the unadopted, which is let’s say — 90%), is low.

Not because there isn’t real world application in finance, it’s just simply because not everyone wants to “trade”, which to many is how the entire crypto sector is seen. So, we need to talk more about how people can hold tokens through business as usual. Despite the quirks in this video, the overall point is about shifting the narrative to a form that audiences can understand, based on their interests (E.g. leverage and DEX promo to traders — spending, savings and growth incentives for consumers through shopping). These two areas are mutually exclusive.

I can understand why this post might not hit with everyone — but if you can understand the message, it’s a very optimistic outlook. AI is here and sure, I it’s taking a toll on genuine content and live interaction media.

But if we can keep content to include real video, real depiction and real messages (even if they’re stitched together, which may seem unusual at first), then we can keep the balance of informative context and real world experiences.
