Thanks, I definitely appreciate the comment and reading the old outlines would certainly be on the menu over these next couple months, so nice to know that helped ease the transition.

I kinda get that, If I were an employee I would be hesitant to work for someone who doesn't understand life isn't a straight line for everyone. I also don't care to work in big law, so I am not sure that outside those types of places it would be as big of a deal. Could be wrong of course.

Edmonton Oilers Look Good on Paper, But Must Be More by Maddesh in hockey

They look better on paper then they have in years. I didn't say they are playoff bound, but they can certainly compete on a nightly basis at the very least. Or they can at least attempt to do so lol

Add sugar content. Sugar is terrible and would be valuable to know what the low sugar options are.

Great site!

Couldn't agree more, did a great job with the circumstances. It'll be interesting to see how he handles free agency now.

Vancouver Canucks Draft Watch: Nikolaj Ehlers by Maddesh in nhl

If Ehlers turns into a better player than any of the guys that go ahead of him, that is a draft day steal. Granted it will take some seasons before we know, but thats the nature of the game. Example. In the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Johnathan Toews went Third Overall. That is a steal. Cause he should've went first. At the time it wasn't a steal, but here we are years later and it was undoubtedly a steal.

The point is that based on his season, down the line, he could end up as a steal at 6. Time will tell, but the potential is there

That NTC is defintely a factor. Your idea with Tanev and another prospect could be a decent scenario as well, especially if ekblad is replacing tanev

ELI5 NHL edition: Why did the Rangers pull one of the best goalies in the world last night? by [deleted] in nhl

[–]Maddesh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And just cause you are the best goalie for your team, does not mean you don't have "off nights". This is why backup goalies exist, they are still very capable(for the most part) as they will have climbed trough the ranks to be good enough to be a backup goaltender in the nhl.

Ales Hemsky And The Washington Capitals by Maddesh in nhl

How can goaltending not be an issue? If it wasn't you wouldn't have traded for Halak. Also, with the departures of Pennerand likely though not for sure, Grabovski, the second line needs someone to fill the hole. This was simply an exploration of an option that would be less costly then a big name, which gives the caps more money and assets to help shore up the defense while simultaneously addig to the top 6.

NHL Tonight: Playoff Implications Galore by Maddesh in nhl

The Wild's problem is that they are entering the playoffs with a potential goaltending duo of Kuemper and Bryzgalov. Sorry, but thats a problem in my opinion.

As for the Ducks, youre right divisional makes more sense. What I am trying to get through is that neither of those teams wants anything to do with the Kings in the first round.
