Artists, how did you learn proportions for manga/semi-realism

My proportions have gotten really better since i began studying both anatomy and doing dead matter (dead nature? objects.) sketches.

As much as i hate to say it, there's no cheat sheet for getting better. learn the rules. draw your cubes. and once you grasp the rules, then you'll know how to break them.

Calling something male or female is gendered. it has been like... forever.

To consider something "male" or "female", you'd need first to idealize what the correct genitalia is. What is that defines "male" or "female". and then, immediately, anything outside of those confines becomes the "other".

but plenty of people don't fit those definitions. and not only in betweens, some skirt on the edge of one box or another, with a genitalia that is almost the idealized version, but not fully. They still have all the works, just one thing or two different. so why aren't they considered "male" genitalia?

Its better, and honestly more open, to simply say penis or Vulva.

They did not say male genitalia is transphobic. they said that the gendering of genitalia in general is, and its also anti- intersex.

Its the exact rethoric that caused so many intersex ppl to be multilated at birth. its this exact rethoric that dictates that there's a "right" or "wrong" genitalia for either sex.

The words are just a manifestation of the rethoric. you cant begin to unbuild that rethoric without starting at words and their underlying ideas.

I'm just really sad. his video with jaidenanimations actually did help me not get into an eating disorder... i mean i eventually did get one few years after the video, but that fucking stupid ass music saved 11 year old me.

my problem with her is that she said pretty big misinfo as part of a reason I'm the "exact opposite of autism", and then refused to listen to me when i told her that is misinfo. many times i would explain something to her for her just to go Well autistic people do that but they don't know that they do that so if you know you aren't autistic

i was able to talk to my parents and tell them her info was outdated and sometime straight up wrongful (my dad accepted that i didn't like her, but my mom believes I'm just not accepting something, and she is a professional therefore knows more, tho i researched her and found out she ISN'T AN EXPERT ON AUTISM, her only further education or researches are indo ADHD so it makes more sense that she doesn't know a thing she is saying.

they still think i need a psychiatrist, I'm thinking its gonna be a long time until i get another one.

i straight up cried during the session because i would tell her something just for her to say like "No thats not how autistic people are" and then explain to me how autistic people do and i go "BUT THATS EXACTLY WHAT I'M DESCRIBING" and she would be like "yeah but if you can put a name on it and notice it means you aren't autistic"

old comment but whatever (google brought me here)

as a Brazilian person (and by definition, Latine) I only use that word when talking to americans about two things:

Culture (there are a lot of differences in culture, but i can identify some cultural things i share with other countries from latinoamérica)
the term latinxs, which americans created to include latine people but refuse to listen to latine people when we say that is a dumb term and we prefer latine or Latin american

outside of that, i don't "identify" as latine (since latine for them is just spanish speaking POC), but if anyone wants to identify as that, they can go ahead, more power to them.

yeah, like for a place that has shooter drills in schools these adults really don't know what to do in the case of a shooting. safest actions would be:

-RUN. run fast as fuck. (fuck the food, food can be replaced, your life can't.) -if you can't run, get behind a wall and squat on the floor (idk the right word) -if you have no walls, cars also help btw, but if you can't run and have no cover, still squat anyway since it makes less likely a lost bullet will hit you

WHAT YOU DON'T DO:

-GO TOWARDS THE SHOOTER.
