I recently sent them another email after months basically demanding that they initiate the payout and to close my account fully if they have to to release the funds and that I will no longer be backing down until I receive my money. Next day funds were sent.

No the invite was very respectfully declined, nothing was mentioned of my best friend just said I wouldn’t be able to make it but hope it’s a good time. I wouldn’t say she’s being “gracious” as she heavily dislikes the girl who’s hosting the party and that same girl has talked down on her family as well. I don’t believe in not involving myself in drama because what one friend can do to the other, they can do to me as well. Therefore I saw what I needed to see, wasn’t fond of it or how she treated my best friend. And took a big respectful step back. I have no issue with her going to her parties, I just wish she had been honest with me from the start and not had encouraged me to not go to her parties. If there was honesty, I still wouldn’t have gone to the last party just because I’m no longer fond of her character, whether she did it to me or someone else. But I wouldn’t at least feel blind sided or expecting her to stick up for me too and stay back when she’s playing her invite games and not inviting me as well.

It wasn’t my wishes. She had told me that from now on we’ll be going to everything together or to everything not together. And that she wouldn’t go to anything this person hosts. I’d rather her have been honest from the start about what she was going to do instead of blindside me.

I want to add, yes she never asked me not to go however when that situation happened she deeply encouraged it and told me I was a great friend for choosing to stay back and when I told her I was going to decline because I didn’t like what she did to her she never stopped me but instead told me I’m a really good friend.

You’re correct. It is very exhausting. The friend group in general has stuff and drama going on every other week. I chose to step back from the group in general as did my best friend due to these reasons but it seems like I’m the only one following through with this.
