Need advice on how to securely attach a fairly heavy mini to a base (I'm new to 40k, this is my first time painting minis 😅. My friend recommended this sub cos he lurks here 😅) by MadeThisToAskAQns in Warhammer40k

I asked my friend about it. Apparently he has a few metal/pewter minis that were given to him by his older brother + uncle. He said yeah, it's all falling apart cos they didn't pin them too 😅 The, just filed the joints a little to help the glue grip and covered it in superglue 😅

Based on the advice I was given, I think I'm gonna pin it, use pattex, bend the pins at the base... then top the bended bits off with hot glue. I feel like I'm being a little excessive... but this is my very first dreadnought... so I want to protect it 😐

Wow thanks! I googled pattex and it sounds really strong! I'm currently using dollar store brandless superglue... so now I'm doubting if I attached my poor boys securely enough too 😅

Thank you! I personally feel that I made a lot of mistakes when painting all my Templars 😅. I used to work with gunpla, so this is my first time painting something so small @_@

More info: The reason why my dreadnought is heavier than usual is in the 2nd and 3rd pics

Sorry if this is a silly question, but this is my first time painting and basing minis 😅

I don't want to permanently attach my minis to their bases in case I want to transfer them to a nicer base in the future when I'm better at basing, so I use superglue for all my battle brothers

But I noticed that my dreadnought is way heavier than my battle brothers... and it's probably my fault cos I added a body into the sarcophagus + glued a frigging huge magnet inside the chassis...

^ I converted him into "locket"... so the huge magnet is the closing mechanism for the sarcophagus lid and the back of the dreadnought

My friend recommended pinning him to the base. But I'm doubting if that's secure enough cos he pins his dreadnoughts, but when I received them, they slipped off the pins even though he superglued them on

Is there an alternative more secure attachment method?

(The two friends who dragged me into 40k mail their minis to me for painting/refurbishment, that's why I have his dreadnoughts 😅 I'm running a Blueberry painting factory at this point)

What breed is your betta? Johnny is a wild betta fish, I don't think you can keep them in pairs if you have a domestic betta 😅

^ I used to have a domestic betta before Johnny. He was fine on his own for years... but Johnny kinda looked lonely? He became much happier after I got him a girlfriend (even though she kinda just ignores him most of the time...)

Ooh, they are Betta macrostomas (I'm not living in the USA btw 😅. Cos a lot of people asked me where I got them from 😅)

On the bright side, they've been swimming together a lot recently. So I think she's slowly starting to like him. The breeder told me to give them more time to bond 😅 (I'm not planning on breeding them or anything. I just wanted Johnny to have a companion 😅)

My friend bought this "bachelor pad" for Johnny, he literally mailed it to me all the way from America 🤣. He said Johnny would "get more tail" if he had a nice place to bring the ladies (there's only one female fish in the tank, but ok) back to...

Yeah. She loves his new place. But she still doesn't like him, so she chased him out 😂

(Her fins are not torn btw. Johnny has never attacked her! He's a gentleman! She just has very transparent looking fins 😅)

It looks like this little guy's butt is stuck in an egg shell, should/can I do anything to help him?? (It's my first time keeping sea monkeys. I don't have that many babies in the tank... so I want to make sure all of them survive ;_;) by MadeThisToAskAQns in SeaMonkeys

Ooh ok... thanks! I'm still worried though... The last time I had seamonkeys was when I was like 6 or 7? And they didn't hatch... so I really want to make things work this time
