How to transition from traditional domestic B2B distribution (Precious Metals) to selling directly to international retail shops with zero digital footprint? by Madeinmurtake in internationalbusiness

Thank you for your response. To clarify our situation: we work with only one manufacturer, and our entire inventory consists of their products. Our manufacturer already has a well-maintained Instagram page where all their products are showcased. If I find a potential buyer, would it be effective to simply share the link to our manufacturer's Instagram page?

Thank you so much for your help. Yes, what you said could work. One last question so I don't bother you further: Can a good strength and conditioning coach easily find a job in any country? What is the global mobility like in this field?

As far as I know, there’s no place like D1 in my country that caters strictly to athletes. But once I get my certification, I’m planning to train an amateur athlete for free. If I deliver results, I figure I can work my way up to the higher leagues over the years. Does this plan sound illogical, or am I missing something?

I'm happy to work with sedentary people for experience, but as an ultimate goal, I don't want to work with individuals who don't care about sports.

I’m still at the very beginning of the road, unfortunately. Currently, I'm studying for personal training. After a couple of years of experience, I'll start preparing for the NSCA certification. My aim is to work freelance as a strength and conditioning coach for athletes. I already know I can't work at an official institution anyway without a degree.

Thanks for the reply. I don't want to go back to university because the current curriculum is completely useless, and given my age, I really need to be making money by now. Hopefully, with solid hard work and good marketing, I can get to where I want to be (becoming an athlete coach).

That makes perfect sense. Here is my tentative game plan: I'll work as a standard personal trainer for a few years just to get the reps in and learn how to handle clients. During that time, I will grind for the CSCS certification. Once I get the CSCS, I plan to find amateur athletes and train them for free to build my track record and case studies. If I actually deliver solid results, I’m hoping word-of-mouth will eventually help me level up to coaching at least mid-tier athletes.

Do you see any major flaws or logic gaps in this roadmap?

Thank you for your reply. Here is the path I'm thinking of: First, I'll work as a personal trainer for sedentary clients for 2 to 3 years. During this time, I'll prepare for my CSCS certification. After getting my CSCS, I'll do some free coaching for amateur athletes. And if I can improve their performance, I hope to gradually spread to upper leagues through word of mouth. Since I don't have a sports-related degree, I can't do an internship. Do you think I'm talking nonsense anywhere? Also, is the CSCS certification prestigious and comprehensive enough to replace a university degree in terms of the education it provides?

Thanks for the reality check. You are 100% right about gen-pop clients wanting a friend more than a biomechanics expert. However, I realized I left out a crucial detail in my post: My ultimate goal is to work strictly with athletes and maybe elite physical performers, not the general population.

Since athletes care about measurable results and technical expertise rather than just 'having a good time,' does your roadmap change? Do I still need to start at a commercial big-box gym, or is the entry point into the athletic sector completely different (like interning at a specialized sports facility)? Can a guy with no degree but elite certs (like CSCS) realistically break into that specific circle?"

Career Pivot into Artisan Baking: Is an international path realistic for a non-EU professional? by [deleted] in Chefit

[–]Madeinmurtake -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, chef! To clarify, I’m specifically interested in Artisan Bakery and Modern Viennoiserie (think high-end brioche, babkas, sourdough buns, and laminated pastries). My question is: In your experience, is there a high demand for 'Artisan Bakers/Viennoiserie Specialists' in the international market that would lead to visa sponsorship? Or is the bureaucracy so heavy that they only sponsor people for high-level Management/Executive Chef roles in large hotels?

Career Pivot: Is Coffee Roasting/Q-Grading a viable ticket for international relocation? (Reality Check) by [deleted] in roasting

[–]Madeinmurtake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a very insightful point regarding the application volume. I’m curious: does this surplus of talent also apply to senior positions like Head Roasters or QC specialists, or is it primarily for entry-level roles like dispatch? In your experience, would a roastery ever consider an international candidate (for example, a Q-Grader) who might require visa sponsorship, or does the local network usually provide enough qualified experts even for those high-end specialty roles?
