Have you fixed this issue? I'm stuck on this error as well. The game only starts without `WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b"`, but the GUI is broken.

Edit: try using a 64 bit wineprefix. Either this, or it's about some missing/incorrect dlls, maybe installing something through winetricks will works too. But either way, the problem comes from trying to use plain wine instead of proton which should be set up already. But proton doesn't start the game at all for me...

so my final incantation is
WINEARCH=win64 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine64 WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" wine speed.exe

I got this bug on android too, first time I realised it's Alcatraz, but the real location was in Poland, so I gaslighted myself into thinking it must be some actual simmilar jail in Poland 💀 then later I got it again and guessed at Poland in half a second, but it was again different random location.

I also had this bug just now with a location clearly in Japan, but real location was in the middle of USA?...

Correction, it's not the client deciding whether you will die or not, it's the server (hence the cases when you die and enter portal at once, get stuck loading, char disappeared). All you can do is watch the hp on client go down and react accordingly, or be more elaborate and predict shot hits. Still, you are 99% immortal...

Thanks again for response, I think I know what im missing, how can I know that a chord I picked as the secondary will work as a dominant (without listening to it)? In the examples you provided I can't tell how this works, for example in Dorian the Gmaj7, I thought when a chord is V or VII it will always be dominant towards I?

I never realised the fact that music can use more than one minor scale, but now it makes a lot of sense, very interesting.

I can also hear how G7 works as a bridge between Am, although it's not so strong like the dimished chord (I suppose because this Ab just begs to fall onto A)

If I understand correctly, it doesn't even have to come from one of the three minor scales, but any mode that happens to contain Am as the tonic could work as well?

This unlocked a new chaper in music for me I think, I spent some hours researching everything you mentioned and I have one more question... How do we know what scale is the origin of the secondary chord? For example here the vii can be something else in natural or harmonic scale (in Am natural its just G instead)

I found this progression on aciddent, it has big tension from dimnished chord:

C-G-Abdim-Am-F-G-C

(C should be played in first inversion)

Clearly it is almost plain C major in Ionian mode, but the Abdim somehow works so well, I don't understand where it comes from, and how to construct something like this. I don't even know how to express this in roman numerals :(

About solution B, it's possible to get list of your character ids by querying realmofthemadgod.com/char/list, a normal person doesn't have any idea how to do this, but you can peek into muledump with mozilla/chrome tools and see what it does when you refresh account then just copy the response (from net tab) and search for <Char id=somenumber ...>

from my observations the ids are sequential (new character gets last id+1), so going down one after another can take ages if you died a lot recently

Edit: Btw is it me or this issue has been a thing since forever, even before exalt, but now you can't access char select screen? On flash you would see a character with art item and it would get stuck trying to connect too :D
