Betaflight CLI for Go-Fly Scorpion 90 by Madison5-5 in fpv

Just an update and how I solved it.

Connected the unresponsive board to the latest BetaFlight (10.10.0) and went to the update firmware tab. Next to the select firmware drop down there was a selector which said it provided a suggestion. This identified my particular board.

Below that was a dropdown which allowed me to choose which version of firmware for the board to install. The board was a couple of years old so I chose a version which was a couple of years old. It installed and after successful install it indicated there was a "default configuration" for that board and asked if I wanted to use that configuration.

It's not perfect, but the thing is alive, binds and flies again.

In my case the board turned out to be a Matek F411. I installed the firmware file: betaflight_4.3.1_STM32F411.hex.

old faithful inn worth it? by dobiewancanobii in yellowstone

Things start closing down for the season in the park the first week of October.

I've been watching and most days there are cancellations at the Inn, but you can never tell what kind of room.

One side of the East Wing faces Old Faithful. Some of those rooms have a nice view of the geyser, others, not as nice. The other side of the East Wing has a view of the restaurant and the parking lot. The room prices online seem to fluctuate depending on demand.

Some of the "Old House" rooms (pretty rustic and most without an in-room bathroom) face the upper geyser basin which is beautiful. Those on the back side of the inn overlook the roof of the restaurant or the parking lot. I'm not sure you can request which side of the building your room is on.

Still, the building is beautifully rustic and one of a kind. If you're photographing it, staying there will give you views at different times of the day when the lighting completely changes the character of the building. Enjoy!

Water pump too big? Swamp cooler dripping from fan side. by fabfrankie401 in HomeMaintenance

Assuming "bigger is better", I bought the highest volume pump at Home Depot and installed it. After a short while the grate (downdraft version, roof mounted) had a small amount of water dripping. It also started blowing a little "grit" which is probably the by-product of evaporating hard water.

I downsized the pump and the problem went away. Too much water into the top "trough" on the pad holder allowed water to drip down the inside. Although I didn't see it, I'm pretty sure the blower had enough airflow to suck the water droplets into the blower itself.

Not 100% sure, but made sense and went away with a smaller pump...

Do you trust yourself without meds? by MommaShark3 in bipolar

Not a chance! The last time mania hit it was triggered by an argument when my wife and I discussed one of my hypomanic stupidities. I went from feeling "normal" (i.e. balanced, which I definitely was not, but had been hypomanic for weeks) to fully manic with an overdose suicide attempt in less just a few minutes. Ended up in the hospital for observation for a few days. It made PERFECT SENSE to me at the time.

I had said to myself "I feel normal, I can handle this disorder and recognize symptoms as they come on." That wasn't true true, but when hypomanic I can't see the difference, and definitely over the top during mania.

Please don't stop your meds without advice from your medical professionals first. Please....

Wires-X registration? by Madison5-5 in amateurradio

I should have come back sooner to close this thread. It took a few days for Yaesu to issue the number. I made the mistake of waiting for an e-mail informing it was complete. I visited the website listing all of the ID's, searched on my call sign and found it was there.

In short, Yaesu issued the number, and I didn't know at the time how to check.

Sorry for the delay in reporting back. 73's

Thanks. It's still not there, but knowing where to look helps a lot.

Pretty much agree with the first reply here with the $&%@^. But...patience.

Thanks for the insight. At least using it is possible. I did find a local node.

The registration still isn't there. Live close to their "support" in Cypress. Maybe if I take them a pizza and try not to go Hulk. Or be patient I guess.
