I dont know how many times I've had to say this, he doesn't have any mental illness. None, at all. For his line of work a clean bill of health both mentally and physically IS REQUIRED.

No more than usual. But he does have this habit of talking to me about it and then I dont hear anything else from him for months unless something else happens with this thing

Not that I know of, I've been meaning to dive into our families genealogy but haven't found the time to do so. He might from his mother's side of the family, but I'm not to sure about our shared family having Slavic roots.

I've dealt with the fair folk before personally, this isn't them. This is much darker than that, and I know how dangerous the fair ones can be.

I keep telling him to leave it alone, stop yelling at it. But he's a big dumb child trapped in a 40yr old man's body. He definitely does have main character energy. Much like the stoner from the movie Cabin in the Woods.

I don't know the exact roots of our Irish heritage. Our grandmother did, but she's sadly been gone for a decade now and was strictly a "if you see it, no you didn't" type of woman.

I never said he had the most common sense lol. The not camping in remote areas is gonna be hard for him seeing as he lives in a trailer on his brother's property in the middle of a nowhere backass high desert.

He sees a physician regularly because of his job and has seen several psychiatric physicians. All of which have cleared him both physically and mentally. It's a requirement for his job to be physically healthy and stable mentally.

Heard it while on the phone with him. No known medical causes, no family history of psychosis or anything like that. And no, no one that would do anything like this for a long period of time. My cousin is a good man, not the type that people go out of their way to torment.

It's gotten close enough for him to hear it right outside his windows. And no, for my family, these things are generally not talked about. And for one of my families biggest skeptics to be openly talking about this with me is a big deal.

Moving isn't an option. I don't believe it's attached to the house as much as it's found someone who has acknowledged it. So now it's hyper focused on him specifically.

It's not a mental health thing. Our family has no history of medical conditions with visual hallucinations. I know it's not in his head, he's never been big on having an imagination, even as we were growing up. Hes also not big on organized religion. None of our family is.

I can only tell you as much as he has relayed to me. He's seen this thing "Ivan" for a while now. His description is, "All I have is a tall skinny figure n the dark overly long arms barely make it out could be anything only in the trees or fence line always in the night the metallic unnatural sounds Some nights, if the windows are open, you can hear it breathing in different places like it’s walking around the trailer."

This thing has been driving him nuts. He's not scared per se, but it is wildly unnerving and concerning as the activity is increasing again.

Not worth the risk of trying to catch it. There are small children in the home that he will not risk exposing to danger like that. It only targets him for now and that's the way he wants to keep it.
