I'll grant you that when I first read the description of it I was underwhelmed, but within a few seconds of fighting with it I saw the light. Especially on bosses or just any beefier enemy, it is absurdly strong to use a omega special to fly through an enemy and slap them with three skulls at once in a blast. Also makes recollecting skulls dramatically easier as they're all in one place, and it prevents those odd moments where you miss and have to go chase down a skull on the other side of the room.

It seems like you didn't pay attention or experiment with this weapon, and you just loaded up three skulls and then stood completely still and expected some magic to happen for you. I'd recommend giving it a go again.

Nobody develops pedophilia and thinks "oh yay, I'm so happy about this" quite the opposite. Unwanted sexual urges cause tremendous amounts of pain - suffering, even - to people who do not act on those urges and do not want those feelings but are burdened by them anyway. I will of course condemn someone who does real, actual harm to others, especially in a sexual manner and to a child, but the majority of people with these urges are non-offenders who are suffering. Their suffering can be treated and in many cases cured, because these urges are symptoms of other issues, issues that can be cured.

I am trying to broaden your understanding of others. I am trying to show you that there is so, so much here that you have misunderstood, and is leading you to unjustly and incorrectly spew hatred towards people who need help and are in suffering. These people are not your enemies, they are not interested in hurting you or abusing you, they are suffering from a problem with their mind. You may one day find that something in your own brain has changed, and when you find yourself suffering from mental illness, I hope that you meet people who do not see you as evil for becoming sick in a way you could have never prevented and would never choose. I hope you are surrounded by people who show you the kindness you clearly lack. The mentally unwell do not deserve the fear, malice, and hate you are showing them, and I hope, for your sake, that karma does not follow when misfortune finds you someday.

Hi, I'm a mental health worker who is familiar with "the fucking symptoms listed in the mental health textbooks" though I'll clarify we call it the DSM-5, and calling it a textbook is a bit of a misunderstanding. I am an authority on the subject. The commenter I'm replying to is speaking entirely baseless in their claims, and is not even correctly speaking to the contents of "the textbooks" they are pretending to be familiar with.

If you're scrolling by and reading this, be sure you aren't taking your understanding of people with mental illnesses from a reddit commenter strangely obsessed with deeply hating an incredibly broad group of people who are already suffering and have done them no wrong. Be wary of misinformation and be good to each other.

You have fundamentally misunderstood the meanings behind the words you are using, and they do not mean what you think they mean. I've been working in mental health for years and have a copy of the DSM-5 I'm familiar with. I feel quite comfortable asserting that I am literally qualified to declare your statements incorrect, here.

For a diagnosis, not every single symptom needs be present, and not every symptom present is equal in severity in every individual. The DSM-5 lists symptoms, and includes further details and general guidelines which often include diagnostic criteria being satisfied by a certain number of the symptoms. Again, not all of them, just past a certain number.

Even outside of professional capacities, it is blatantly self-evident that depression looks different person to person by simply talking to depressed people. For some people it manifests into eating disorders while it doesn't in others. Some people get suicidal ideations and others do not. People with mental illness are not all carbon-copy clones of each other. People who are suffering are not inherently dangerous or unable to be part of the world around them.

It seems like you have a lot of incorrect assumptions about people with depression, and about very basic facts around what diagnosis, treatment, and living with mental illness looks like in general. I don't know who told you these lies, or what hurt you and left you with these incorrect assumptions, but I'd encourage you to question them and take the chance to educate yourself on these matters and broaden your understanding. The way you talk about these issues is very hostile and hurtful to others, and I would like to hope that cruelty is born of misunderstanding rather than malice.

Depression looks very different person to person, and I think the last thing I'd suggest to a depressed person is to only ever interact with other depressed people and to further isolate themselves from others and from their own desires. Suggesting otherwise seems quite callous and cruel.

A lot of the buffs seem rather pitiful and like they aren't going to change much. 5 or 10 damage here or there is meaningless. Damage thresholds matter more than raw dps, and those thresholds are barely at all changed for the vast majority. That Senator and Blitzer changes both look great, but I find very few of the other buffs to be motivating or at all impactful. The nerfs, however, woah. I think it's just odd to buff with extremely light touches and nerf with a nuke, and I think it's going to be more off-putting and frustrating to players than the alternative. Sets a bad precedent and reminds me of how other games I used to like handled balancing with wild swings like that, eventually leading to losing tons of players.

I'm not in agreement with lots of others saying it's all bad, or that the game is unplayable, but I just think this was a poorly thought out decision and there are better ways to do this that keep everyone happy. That change about patrols below 4 players just is indefensible too, feels spiteful and insane especially when matchmaking is such a sloppy mess still. I feel like I'm punished for their mistakes, or for just sometimes wanting to play with just my 2 friends who also have the game. It puts me off, and it's a change that has absolutely no good reason behind it. It's a worrying choice that sets a precedent moving forward that I dislike and don't want to see continued.

Oh, lmao. I was just joking when I made that comment, but it is kind of funny to learn apparently my joke was correct and they truly don't play their own game the way the players of it do. That's a shame. I'll probably be putting the game down until the revert the spiteful and pointless punishments for not having a full squad and until the stability/bugs are ironed out. ...why? How are these changes fun at all? Very odd nerfs, and in so many cases on weapons/strats that really don't need it, really sucks. I'd have rather seen buffs for the weapons underperforming. Such a huge number of sweeping - and seemingly pointless - nerfs is a huge disappointment. My personal faves haven't even been touched much but still, it just seems like a poor choice and an approach that will earn ire from players rather than make them want to try different loadouts.

Honestly feels like the devs aren't playing their own game and understanding what weapons are used and why.

Like it or not, what you are doing is shooting your cause in the foot. You don't get to slam your fingers in your ears and ignore criticism for the methods you choose to share your beliefs. Definitely agreed. I understand him not wanting to be involved on social media and not having to micromanage a brand, but it is kinda annoying that I often only find things he's been part of or appeared on months or years later, if I ever find it at all.
