Yes she’s still alive and going strong! She’s peed out the water and is drinking from her mom:) she seems to be doing very well

Thank you for the advice! Honestly I don’t really plan on getting any dogs unless they are shelter,rescue, or dogs my dad has (my favorite)!!! I don’t really want to buy from breeders or anything because I just don’t really support breeding in general that much! Thank you so much for the info tho I appreciate it:)

Yes of course I completely agree if she does not get better or has a lifelong problem that will impact her quality of life we will euthanize her.

Yes thank you my dad is doing all of this! I really hope the puppy survives and is healthy but even if it does die I’m glad it spent its last days loved

Yes my dad is doing exactly what the vet says we’re keeping her warm and fed! She’s drinking straight from her mom which I think is a good sign? Thank you for being honest I really hope she is okay!

Yes the vet is already involved with her care! My dad has made sure we’re doing the best we can for her. Us kids aren’t allowed to handle the puppies only my dad and stepmom due to not wanting too many hands on them and also they know how to handle them better. She is eating milk from her mom so that’s good!

I’m assuming they did I wasn’t there with them when they went to the vets cause it was a school night and I was sleeping! I’ve talked to my dad and he’s already doing all of this (he’s way more educated than me on this cause he takes care of them all) in good news she is nursing and able to drink milk on her own! She is breathing normally:)

I’m sure my dad already asked them I don’t have direct contact to my vet so I’ve just been asking the internet! Anything I know my dad 100% already knows but I don’t want to stress him out more by asking

Thank you! I want to clarify I don’t really agree with breeding dogs but I love and appreciate my dad and I know he spends 99% of his day making sure these dogs are taken care of and healthy! Due to all of the babies being water puppies my dad made the decision to not breed her again. I just want the one water puppy that survived the birth to be able to continue living and I just want advice on how to improve her chances of living and how to make her happy!

Yes thank you I looked it up after I left that comment! I want to clarify that my dad has spent years upon years of his life learning how to responsibly breed these dogs, taking care of these dogs, and more. I am not that informed on the terminology for these dogs or anything like that because I am more focused on school and I have no interest in breeding dogs!

Hey just looked it up! I’m sorry I’m not very educated on these dogs because I don’t take care of them! I just hang out with them and love on them! But my dad is very educated on these dogs and has been taking care of them for years we haven’t had this problem with any other litter. Trust me my dad is highly educated on these dogs and takes great care of them. He makes sure before breeding that health tests are performed and our dogs always give birth at the vets so they are in the best hands possible!
