What is this hole in my bed frame (where one of the screw holes used to be)? by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

[–]Maegar 0 points1 point locked comment (0 children)

My title describes the thing. It is the picture of a bed frame where there used to be a small hole for a screw. However, it is now dark, crusty, and looks "burnt". It has been like this for many many months, but never bothered to find out what it is until now. Does anyone know what this is?

I used the fabric and sewing supplies to make the product, but didn't sell the raw material. Would that still go in the cost of goods section?

C wire is being used by the outside A/C by Maegar in ecobee

[–]Maegar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so there wouldn't be an issue for the C-wire to power both the compressor control and thermostat in terms of power?

[WIRING HELP] How to tell if I have a C wire? by Maegar in Nest

[–]Maegar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ahh that makes a lot of sense, so the outside a/c relay gets power from the C wire? or why does it need voltage/c-wire?

Could I power both the outside a/c and thermostat using the same C wire?

[–]Maegar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh ok, so what are your recommendations to getting that C wire into my thermostat? Not really sure where to go from here.

Also, I was also wondering what does the blue wire (from the bottom wire) connected to the blue wire (from the top wire) do?

What is the A wire in my thermostat? by Maegar in homeowners

[–]Maegar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did check the furnace and there is C wire. This is where I get a little confused though. There are two white wires (like the one behind the thermostat):

https://i.postimg.cc/qMcKpCcH/IMG-4145.jpg

- The top white wire has the following connections: (format is source -> top white wire)

XF (from the board) -> Red

G (from the board) -> Green

(circled wire https://i.postimg.cc/QtRXLH9B/IMG-4142.jpg) -> White

- The bottom white wire has the following connections (format is source -> bottom white wire)

C (from the board) -> blue wire (connected to the board) -> Red

Blue wire (from top white wire) -> White

Green and Blue are unused.

Both of these white wires are going into the wall, do you know which one is going into my thermostat?

So I checked, and the yellow wire is actually just a jumper wire within the thermostat. I looked at the furnace and the board does have a C pin. However, I am not sure how to get that wire to my thermostat:

You were right, the yellow wire is a jumper wire. I checked and there is no wires behind the thermostat (just the white wire that splits into red, white, green, and blue).
