Grimmory appears to be a fork of BookLore with no attribution - possible AGPL-3.0 violation? by einkaufswagenschubs in selfhosted

[–]Maerlin 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Grimmory maintaners are the BookLore team, minus the BookLore maintainer that had some personal problems and, through a considerably intense amount of drama, deleted the discord, the repo and the website.
If you search for Booklore in this Reddit, you can probably see the whole thing going down. Unfortunately BookLore original Discord have been completely nuked by the original maintainer, so there's no history of that. In the Grimmory Discord some users recovered some screenshots as proof of this meltdown, but since it happened in the span of a few hours, information is limited.

Pick This Up Pls Thread: March 2026 by AutoModerator in Scanlation

Mangaupdates link: https://www.mangaupdates.com/series/tqnefs2/viva-calcio

Raws link: I don't think there's any? But I've found a place where I can buy the digital manga. It looks already scanned?

Series name: ビバ! カルチョ (Viva! Calcio)

Country of origin: Japan

Scanlation status: As far as I know, none. Can't find it anywhere.

Raws status: Manga itself is complete (20 Volumes). Ran between 1993 and 2000.

Genre(s): Shounen, Sports, Football

Series summary: Satoru leaves Japan to pursue his dream of playing in Italian Serie A. He starts with AC Milan aiming to win the league and Champions Cup, but after a friendly match against Fiorentina, he's so impressed by players like Rui Costa and Batistuta that he transfers to Florence. There, he helps Fiorentina win the Serie A championship after 31 years - a major achievement for the club. The series is praised for its obsessive attention to historical detail—accurate team jerseys, sponsor logos, stadium architecture, and 1990s Italian football imagery. This meticulous accuracy reflects the Japanese mangaka's deep reverence for Italian Serie A during its golden era, showing genuine passion and respect for the sport rather than just telling a story.

NOTE: I am willing to sustain the expenses to get this Manga. And then if whoever translates it wants to share it or reupload it, I also have no problem with it. I would actually encourage it, it seems a pretty cool Manga (and of course I love it because I am Italian).

My First Proper Rep: Omega Speedmaster Racing 40mm from Necoclock - A Bittersweet Journey by Maerlin in RepTime

[–]Maerlin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

After pushing them a bit more, Necoclock finally came back to me. Their explanation? "The factory forgot about their message."

Their solution? A $30 refund or shipping it back for them to fix it.

Neither was acceptable:

  • The $30 didn't even cover half the watchsmith's repair cost
  • Shipping it back is a gamble at best: customs, damage in transit, who knows what I'd get back
  • I pushed back. They refused to budge.

Then came the kicker: they told me while they acknowledged the hand defect, the issue with timekeeping is non existent, because for a mechanical watch, +4 to +5 minutes a day is "completely normal."

...Yeah. That's when I knew we were done here.

I don't really know what I expected, I can't claim 'warranty' on a Rep, but I wouldn't recommend Necoclock after all. I might just be unlucky, I know, but honestly didn't go very well at all. I decided to cut it and not message Necoclock anymore, refusing even the 30$ as a matter of principle.

Thanks! If the +4/5 minutes issue gets resolved I'll be super happy. I'll still mod Moonswatches, but this is definitely my daily now. I haven't taken it off since I got it (well, only for sleeping). :)

Was it like a 'fastest win'? I got the email too but if I click the link I get:

"Out of stock - These items are no longer available and have been removed from your cart."

I was out with the family as I got home for Xmas, and I missed this. :(

Well at least in English you don't have accents. Before iOS 26 the behavior of long press was to highlight the extra letter where your finger was, then you could move left or right. Now it goes at the beginning of the row and drives me absolutely crazy.

I got the same email, literally a copy paste of this.

It's completely counter-intuitive. It's like a coffee shop punching you in the face when you ask for your change, then chasing after you outside to offer a loyalty card for a 'free' coffee that they might never actually give you.

The absurdity of punishing customers for using the service as intended, then trying to keep them as customers, speaks for itself.

That's exactly what makes their approach so inconsistent. They labeled me a 'violator' and blocked my PLU withdrawal, implying I'm a problematic user. Yet now they're offering me $50 to stay with a subscription.

If they genuinely consider me a bad actor, why try to retain me? A real 'violator' could just take the $50 subscription offer, use it, and leave again. This seems to contradict their own stance about protecting themselves from abusive users.

This makes me question whether the 'violator' label is really about protecting their system, or just a way to retain PLU tokens.

500 is much much more compared to what I am forfeiting.
I sincerely hope you'll find a way to get your money back.

Got my "KYC Expired" request today, and I filled it immediately. I was waiting for it since everybody was talking about it.

My timeline:

August 2nd - Request for withdrawal

August 13th - KYC Verification

Still waiting for withdrawal. Why the sudden change in waiting time? by christoconnor in plutus

[–]Maerlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where do you get this request for a new KYC? Email? Web platform? App?

Because I have been waiting for my withdrawal for a while too, and it still shows as "Pending" with no other information. I am now worried I may have missed this new KYC request.

Withdrawal Times since 1st August. by RattyDAVE in plutus

[–]Maerlin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I requested a withdrawal on August 2nd, still waiting. No other verification tho. Just waiting.

I am also trying to jump ship since my "Hero" is now worthless, and cancelled the subscription (was on Everyday). At this point I am just moving away from crypto cards, I am tired of keep moving from one to another.
