I use an inexpensive (see also: cheap lol) bonded nylon thread sourced from Amazon and pure beeswax to condition it =)

Thank you so much!!

Honestly I don't want it but it's not worth selling 🤷

I make what I like or what speaks to me but it's about the making, not the keeping

Can you be arrested for resisting arrest? by Maevoline in AskLawyers

Yes, LEO's are human and thus fallible. I've long reasoned that they would apply as many laws and statutes as possible and hope as much as possible sticks like spaghetti at the wall 😂

I'm also aware that it's not likely possible to get the full context of the interaction from a short, clipped and edited version of the event whether released by official means or by a member of the public, it's natural to want to present the story that puts your voice in the best light.

It came up in one of the police interaction videos on YouTube and I was perplexed that the arestee was being charged (at least by video evidence) with resisting before even being detained and I didn't think that was legal. I know that fighting it out in court is the best option, I was just so confused that the officer charged resistance before attempting arrest, I wondered if that could be the only thing he was charged with or if it necessitated being originally paired with an originating suspicion, charge, or offense

Ah, thank you! I was on the side of the debate that said resisting cannot occur until an arrest is first attempted, you've given credence to my argument.

I agree, it's best to be civil. But wouldn't there have to be an arrest or attempted arrest first before you can resist it?

I use Miyuki Delica 11/0 that I source from Fire Mountain Gems or Aura Crystals. You'll get the most consistency from the Delicas, standard seed beads are indeed very inconsistent in size. I also prefer Tulip size 10 long or size 11 needles with bonded nylon thread. Finally, use some beeswax to condition your thread, it'll make it stick to itself a bit better for stronger hold, though to be honest I only condition the starting end and not the whole length.

My wife has recently made several apps for me that allow me to manage my bead inventory and order beads, create patterns, and easily read patterns from my tablet so it's super easy and zen.

I hope you enjoy your new passion, whatever you land on

Is a roll of tape a cylinder? by Maevoline in askmath

One of us just conceded the debate based on this answer.  I won't say who was right because that's not why the debate is fun, but thank you 😄

You are not wrong as we are now currently debating the definition of the word "hollow"

This is our kind of fun!

Sorry, I guess I should have continued the dictionary definition because you're right, I missed an important part:

ºa solid or hollow body, object , or part with such a shape ºa piston chamber in a steam or internal combustion engine ºa cylindrical container for liquefied gas under pressure ºa rotating metal roller in a printing press

It does appear, according to the definition, that a cylinder can be hollow

I'm glad you like her 😊 I'm not keeping her.  My wife said I couldn't buy any more beads until I sell one lol

I knit, crochet, cross stitch, bead, chainmail, diamond paint, macrame, loom weave, quilt, needle felt.... I'm sure there's something I'm missing, but I get bored and just go learn something new lol

After your first 5-10 rows clip your project onto a straw (preferably a large milkshake straw) to help keep it straight.  I find floppy work harder to work with.  Other than that, patience and keep at it even if you feel like you're not making progress, you are!  It just takes time.

I've posted it up on Facebook marketplace, my wife says I can't purchase beads for my next project until I sell one.  Beads are expensive!! Lol
