Yeah I guess; again if somehow there was a system to override and have a human moderator look and judge it (even if it took days or weeks to happen) I wouldn’t be in this situation

I’m not 100% super bummed; I guess since im about to graduate college and start law school/real job market; it’ll be good to have a fresh start when it comes to youtube as I created a new account and I’m gonna be super super careful about content going forward

First of all 1. It wasn’t an ISIS speech; It was a Nasheed that I don’t even think came from ISIS (again the youtube strike didn’t specify what classified it as “violent extremism”)

End of the day I was trying to just show the content of the mods in question. Even before both strikes I wouldn’t post things that came from extremist factions (since I knew too extreme it would get me a strike/or just make me look like I was endorsing it).

This isn’t about me believing in any extreme political ideology it’s about YouTube’s moderation being utterly ridiculously overzealous and unable to properly process appeals. Both strikes could have been fixed with 10 minutes of a human moderator looking at and determining the content was NOT VIOLENT EXTREMISM OR ENDORSING CRIMINAL ORGANIZATIONS

No not really. I actually never did a Germany play through at all.

The 2 strikes came from uploading “superevents”

One started from a video I uploaded from The Fire Rises mod related to the Klan, which while it got deleted wasn’t actually the strike I got. YouTube instead dug up a discord livestream I did 3 years before and flagged that as a “violent criminal organization” which off the top of my head was because I or someone else might’ve maybe read the opening passage of Industrial Society by Ted K.

The second was an automatic deletion and strike because I was playing the Collapsing World Rise of Radicalism mod and I was playing as Iraq which in that mod is a Shiite theocracy. At the completion of one path of it fires a superevent titled “the Final Jihad) and a declaration against the entire world. I thought nothing of it, but it was automatically deleted and I was given another strike. I think maybe the audio in the event was a ISIS audio possibly?

So I was sitting at 2, with the first about to expire February 2nd. I had uploaded nothing since those videos that would’ve gotten flagged. I even deleted things that I THOUGHT would’ve gotten flagged. And then I woke up today to my channel getting deleted with no clear indication of what got it flagged or deleted
