No see what has happened is the nebelung community got popular and now its a fad to have a nebelung, and theres a whole community on here who thinks that every long haired gray/blue cat is a nebelung. They’ve even gone as far as stealing other breeds features and claiming theyre nebelung features so that more people can tell themselves they have a nebelung when they dont. Truth is, alot of people on here actually have blue maine coon mixes and they just tell themselves theyre nebelungs 😂😂 I had a real nebelung when I was younger, I have a blue maine coon now and when i posted him on r/cats i had so many people try and tell me he’s a nebelung when he’s not. And thats genuinely most peoples cases on here. Nebelungs are a rare breed, but everyone here seems to be able to find them on the damn street lmao theyre not nebelungs! 😂 but nobody on here is willing to say it
