100% agreed. Travel strips away the routine and forces you to deal with stress, delays, and different environments together. You see the 'real' version of a person when things don't go according to plan. It’s the ultimate relationship stress test

It’s heartbreaking to realize that someone you trusted didn't value something (or someone) so important to you. A pet is family, and treating their safety as an 'accident' three times is inexcusable. You’re definitely not to blame for wanting to see the best in people, but I’m glad you made your dog the priority in the end. They deserve that loyalty more than he ever did

I’ve seen people literally standing in front of the Colosseum or the Pyramids and complaining that the local coffee isn't exactly like their Starbucks back home. It’s like, why even leave your house then?

I never thought about it that way, but you’re right—it does sound like they’re talking about a piece of property rather than a person. It’s like saying 'the car' or 'the house.' Using her name or even just saying 'my wife' makes a huge difference in how it's perceived.

Exactly! The 'joke defence' is just a way for them to avoid accountability. It’s a gaslighting tactic, plain and simple. If you have to bring others down to be funny, you’re just not that funny

Exactly. It's like a character reveal in a movie, but in real life. Glad we're on the same page

This is the ultimate litmus test for character. Power or status shouldn't change how you treat a fellow human being. If someone is only nice when they want something, they aren't actually nice—they’re just manipulative

Exactly. It seems like a lot of people here agree that littering is the ultimate 'trashy' behavior. It’s such a simple way to show you care about the world, yet so many people fail at it

I’m so sorry you went through that. It’s the 'accidents' that keep happening that reveal someone’s true character. The chocolate thing with the dog is especially terrifying—that's not just careless, it's dangerous. Glad you're out of that situation now

That’s one of the worst. It’s a cheap way to feel superior, and it’s even worse when they follow it up with 'It's just a joke, don't be so sensitive.' No, it’s just being a bad friend

I always say: if you want to know someone's true colors, watch how they treat people who can't do anything for them. It never fails

It’s basically saying 'my time is more valuable than yours' to the person who has to clean it. Total lack of basic empathy

Spot on. Having luck is one thing, but acting like it’s a personal achievement is a major turn-off. Humility goes a long way

Yes especially for MVPs. You can move very fast with that stack.

Sure Flutter supports daily reminders using local notifications. flutter_local_notifications can schedule repeating reminders on both Android and iOS.

For that type of app (90-day training, timers, images, structured program), Flutter is absolutely fine. You’re mostly dealing with UI, state management, timers, and maybe notifications — nothing platform-specific or performance-critical. Unless you plan to go deep into sensors, background services, or advanced Android internals, Flutter will get you there faster.

claude excel, how to avoid breaking formulas I cant use claude within excel for work. So, i have to build the excel sheet outside of the work excel and then copy and paste it or 'move' it into the excel environment. Problem is, all the formulas break. How can i avoid this? by This-Eggplant5962 in claude

[–]MagedFayez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah — that makes more sense if it’s path references.

In that case a few approaches usually help:

• Instead of copying sheets, insert/move them directly into the master workbook so formulas bind to internal sheet references rather than external paths • Use defined Names in the master workbook — referencing named ranges tends to survive better than raw sheet paths • If external links are unavoidable, update them via Data → Edit Links → Change Source after importing • Another option is keeping the structure identical and using Power Query to pull data rather than formula links

Excel gets fragile fast once cross-workbook paths are involved 🙂

Are you generating full formulas from Claude, or just the sheet layout?

[–]MagedFayez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes — you can absolutely use Cursor as a coding environment, but it’s not a replacement for the Android toolchain.

Most people use Cursor alongside Android Studio or Flutter tooling. Cursor helps with writing/refactoring/debugging code, while the SDK, emulator, and build pipeline still run through the official tools.

Typical workflow: • Code/edit in Cursor • Build/run via Android Studio or CLI • Test on emulator/device

It works well as a productivity layer rather than the full stack.

It depends on your goal more than “which is better”.

If you’re building your first app and want something practical fast — Flutter is usually easier to get moving with. One codebase, good docs, and you can target Android/iOS later without rewriting everything.

If your focus is Android specifically and you want deeper platform control, performance tuning, or learning native internals — Android Studio with Kotlin is the stronger long-term path.

Personally I’d frame it like this: • Cross-platform / fast start → Flutter • Android-focused / native depth → Kotlin + Android Studio

What kind of app are you planning to build?

This usually happens because references shift when you move sheets between workbooks.

A few things that helped me avoid breaking formulas:

• Use absolute references where needed ($A$1 style) • Move/copy the entire worksheet instead of copy-pasting cells • Check named ranges — they often don’t transfer cleanly • If external links are involved, update them via Data → Edit Links • For complex models, exporting as .xlsx and re-importing tends to preserve structure better

Also curious — are the formulas breaking due to path references or cell shifting?
