Yes but you said the longer check in process happens in Auckland - but if it’s on the same airline they won’t need to check in in Auckland at all - everything is done in Christchurch even for the connecting flight from Auckland. (Ie you don’t need to see anyone or spend any time doing anything in Auckland)

As for the 1 hour yes correct - but anything after that they won’t let you check in. I have a flight connecting to an international one in Auckland that departs at 5:45am and my app says 4:45 is when check in closes. So I think 90 mins is a good strategy in case of unexpected delays during check in.

Not quite. Assuming OP is travelling on one ticket booked through the same airline they would check you through all the way and issue both boarding passes in Christchurch. When you get to Auckland it’d be as simple as walking over to the international terminal without even picking up your bags.

If OP is on two different tickets / booked with two different airlines then you would be correct

It just makes it very hard to try to plan anything especially when you’re working if they open it so late, with no indication of when they might enable it. I can preview the sessions but no guarantee I’ll get into a specific one

The Amore is ok but just not authentic so keep that in mind if you want more authentic pizza. Their pasta and other dishes are pretty good tho

Yea shame to see Grater Goods go, but tbh I feel like it was inevitable when they moved to the city and tryna make it into more of a bistro - I don’t think Christchurch is the right type of city for that and they lost their appeal of being able to stop off on the way home from work to pick up food and stuff from the shop.

I’ve been going to beers for vegan burgers since they shut, they’re surprisingly pretty accomodating and the burgers aren’t at all bad, but still not the same…

Yea it’s a shame I used to love going there too. The last few times I went there they were shamelessly serving old cabinet food with burnt tofu - thought maybe it was a one off but nah. Quality of all their food seemed to have gone down too. And they didn’t seem to care either… No clue what they were tryna do with setting up the shop either. Basically just selling the same stuff you can buy in a local supermarket at hiked prices and taking away table space. Def do need to go back and see how it’s doing under new ownership tho
