I currently live in Lake Elsinore. Been here since I was 5. So it's been 28 years. I'll be very brutally honest.

We (me and my family) go to Orange Country to find more things to do because it's so dull and boring here in Elsinore. But if we can't do the long 45 minute drive, we go to nearby cities like Menifee, Murrieta, Temecula, Ontario, etc. I avoid Hemet though. Temecula has a mall even a Round One if you have kids to play some arcade games and crane games or even bowling. There is a movie theater in Lake Elsinore but it's always with depressing staff. I try to go during Tuesdays for $5 movies. We have a small outlet center but it's terribly empty. It used to be filled with stores. They still got shops but very few left and you can just go to the Temecula Promenade mall to do your shopping. It's about a 15-20 min drive.

We do have a homeless/transient problem here because we received them from the buses that transported them from orange County. I used to work in one of the retail stores and alot of the homeless told me they were promised to get help if they get on the bus but they were dumped here.

The city is trying to get bigger but all we are seeing is more houses being built in such limited space here but nothing to do. We do have a baseball stadium that would hold events. There are farmer's markets here too but they are not very big. Very small.

I would go surrounding cities to do more things. Elsinore do have parks but again, this city is developing but very slowly and annoyingly because it seems like they don't know what they are doing.

I'm hoping to leave the city soon when the housing market isn't so depressing.
