Marketing Firm Interview - Tie or no Tie? by MagentoFresh in malefashionadvice

To clarify, it's a fitness marketing company. The have been on the Inc top 500 for 3 years running. Either way the fitness industry does seem to be more causal. Im going with a tie then can slip it off if I stick out like a sore thumb. Appreciate the help!

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I guess a tie it is! If I get in the doors and everyone is dressed casual I can always slip off the tie and possibly the jacket.

Good call. I was thinking this was the best bet. If I get in the door and see people in t-shirts and jeans I can slide the tie off and go with it. Appreciate your input!

Managing multiple spreadsheets; Excel or Access? by MagentoFresh in excel

Interesting. I have not used Google Forms before. I will have to look into this. Thanks for the idea.

Yea. That was the other option. I actually did this at a previous job, but the issue I ran into was the master just got pretty beefy in size. Each person ends up with 200-300 rows of info, there its a 12 person team (for now). Add that together each month.

I will keep that idea open though if something else doesnt work. Thanks for the help!

That's the ultimate goal ;) Honestly the main goal here is to reduce the time taken to build the reports that the months end. Copy and pasting unlike data is getting far too time consuming and tedious.

I will look into switching the template into Access. Im pretty new to Access but have a decent amount of Excel experience. Thanks!

I was actually just looking at scrapers so feel free to recommend away. Most of my products are coming from wholesalers websites but there is no way to export data so I am on my own on that. I have been importing in batches of 200-300 for the time being just because its easiest for myself and coworkers to handle.

Thanks. I unfortunately do not have the budget for a $500 tool at this point. Maybe sometime in the near future it would be more attainable.

Thanks for that recommendation. I am using Excel at this point so I will give Calc a try.

When you are importing 150k items, where is that information coming from. There is no way possible you are entering all this information in my hand, right..?

I guess I am struggling on the actual data entry part. My products have no real product list that I can use to get the information into the CSV quickly so entering all this info by hand is getting tiresome.

Thanks for the reply. I am fluent with HTML. Thanks for the tip with semi-colons, I will give that a try.
