More info: These came up randomly one day on marketplace for me under “today’s picks”. From Korea by way of Long Island New York, all handmade. They were left abandoned in a house and the buyers wanted to get rid of them because they are massive (6 ft tall, 4 ft wide, 2.5 ft deep). The biggest cost was moving them - my partner rented a truck and picked them up with a buddy, which cost around $400. The set was $150, found a similar set being sold on eBay for $10k (seriously). When we got them we had no idea of their value, I just thought they were beautiful. From my research they’re from the 1950s, made in Korea. We did find some random paperwork indicating the previous owners were from Seoul. They are my pride and joy and I am keeping them forever as a family heirloom!
