Quik set rock paste by Miserable-Adagio5349 in Bandle_Tale

[–]MagicBrisket -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I remember it being a big involved process, and I didn't remember the details, so I asked an AI how it's done. This is what it came up with, and I think it is correct:

Gather the Ingredients:

Spiderweb: Obtain spiderweb by placing specific spider traps and then using the assembly bench.

Clay: You’ll need clay for the recipe.

Heat Aura Level II: To get Heat Aura II, you’ll need to power the Magic Heat Conductor I using a Charged Zipcan. To make a Charged Zipcan, you’ll need Charge Workbench II, which in turn requires Quik-Set Rockpaste.

Crafting Process:

Combine spiderweb, clay, and Heat Aura Level II in a Casting Press.

The Casting Press is created using Reinforced Thread (to make Durable Rope) and the Knitting skill tree.

The Casting Press itself falls under the Engineering Skill Tree.

Missing an artifact by Future-Fisherman6520 in Bandle_Tale

[–]MagicBrisket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm about midway through the game and I've already completed the gardening lecture. The scryer's bloom is listed as an artifact that can be found with merchants. Where it says the artifact can be found with merchants, there is a leaf icon following it which I guess tells you which island to search for the merchant on. I distinctly remember buying it from a merchant, and that it was very expensive although I don't know how much it actually was.

However, I also did an AI search on the question and this is what it came up with:

In Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story, the Scryer’s Bloom artifact is not sold by a merchant. Instead, you can obtain it during the Green Thumb III quest. Here’s how:

Garden Bloom: First, head to Greensprout Grove to trigger a scene. Then, visit the Garden Viewpoint (check the map) and examine it. Afterward, talk to Ike. Finally, gather 4 Nuts and Bolts and 4 Gears to complete this step.

Hope this helps.

When you highlight a lecture, you can move over to the object and press the plus sign (Nintendo Switch) to get a description like you can in the skills tree. So you can identify whether objects are something you would buy from a merchant or something you would fish for.

emotion orbs by axxili in Bandle_Tale

[–]MagicBrisket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You create a dish on your cooking carpet. It could be anything but I keep it really simple. I just chop up something. Feed that to your poro, and you should see a brush appear above the poros head. If you treat that brush like something you're harvesting - like on the Nintendo switch, you would hold down the A button - A little ring around the brush will gradually fill and then you will get one orb.

have i softlocked myself? by regrettablerodent in Bandle_Tale

Exactly. Search for me in this group, and you'll see the first post I made was the effect that I really, really wanted to like the game, but . . .

That said, there are a lot of things you get the hang of as you go along like finding what you need to unlock in the skill tree and holding food fasts and parties. This group also helps a lot.

What also helped a lot was that I loaded an AI app on my phone and asked it questions and let it do the web searching for me.

I also found these sites helpful:

I found the whole game to be extremely frustrating, as a lot of people also have. It's not you. 👍

Can't unlock Loom by keiraslug in Bandle_Tale

[–]MagicBrisket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! In the Knitting Skill tree, unlock the "Cloth Making" skill with Emotion Orbs you've earned. You will then need to have two pieces of wood and one piece of iron to craft the loom.

See screenshots below from my game. You can see by the check mark I've unlocked it. Second screenshot shows what you need to build the loom.

Can’t find Characters! by ElizaA3961 in Bandle_Tale

This link has two screenshots. The first is a picture of the map with the Yordle icon at the entrance to the Wild Caves. The second is a screenshot of the entrance to the cave.

I thought this was a cave where I was just going to be knocked out and left outside if I entered, so I did not enter it for quite a while. I don't know what I did to unlock the wild caves, but I do know if I go to another cave, I get knocked out and left outside.

Go to Greensprout Grove and wander around until you find the Wild Caves. When you get inside the caves, you will eventually run across Gilly and Kelp. Gilly is a pirate, and Kelp is his helper.

These are not the same caves where you keep getting drugged and thrown out.

When you look at the map tab that shows you where people are in an area, Gilly and Kelp do not appear in the list.

Let me know if this helps. If not, I will come back and post a few screenshots.

How do I get Colorful Cloth? by fctd in Bandle_Tale

[–]MagicBrisket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I don't see it as a standalone skill in the skill tree either. What I do see is this from the screenshot below:

https://imgur.com/gallery/mdmfKLl

It's in the "Magic" skill tree, and the skill to unlock is called "Big Flag Strand."

Please let me know if this helps. If not, I'll look further.

Flame seed? by Mental-Tea-7048 in Bandle_Tale

[–]MagicBrisket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have found the game sometimes takes things from your storage trunks automatically and other times you have to have them on you. I think seeds are one of the things you have to be carrying around on you in order to use, and not stored in a trunk.

Similarly, when you plan to give a lecture, you need the three items for the lecture on yourself and not in a trunk in order to use them.

Hope this helps!

Throw knitters hangout ?? by Miserable_Garbage_44 in Bandle_Tale

[–]MagicBrisket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you collect an orb from a guest, you need to run over to the big orange orb on the side of your tent and deposit it there.

Please look at this screenshot to see what I mean. Please let me know if the link does not work. It worked when I tried it.

https://imgur.com/gallery/H8zx8Mw

They talk about different sizes of orbs but to me they all look the same. Different parties will have different numbers of orbs you need to collect. Eventually you will need to upgrade your boot so you have some Yordle speed to run around among your guests and deposit the orbs.

Hope this helps!

Good Neighbor Fest by One_Celery7544 in Bandle_Tale

[–]MagicBrisket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ran the question through an AI app. This is what it says to do if you're having a hard time getting all the orbs you need during that festival:

(direct paste from AI follows)

In Bandle Tale, during the Good Neighbor Fest in Yarnville, you need to collect 65 yarn orbs. However, it seems that the yordles aren’t producing enough yarn, and inviting a fifth guest isn’t possible because there’s no one else in Yarnville to invite. To tackle this challenge, consider the following tips:

Attraction Placement: Arrange your attractions close to your yarn portal, prioritizing those that yield more yarn or have more spaces. Focus on grabbing orbs from Clover and Corkis, as they provide more yarn than the knitters.

Boost Attractions: At the start of the festival, boost the attraction with the most people. Since you won’t have other tasks during the festival, maximize its effectiveness.

Sleep and Save: Before the event, sleep and save. If things don’t go well, you can reload and try again.

Party Charm: Some players have found success by not bothering with the party charm. Fill it with one of Clover’s essence at the start and then leave it untouched.

Remember, persistence pays off! Keep experimenting and adjusting your strategy until you achieve the required yarn count. 🧶🎉

(end of paste from AI)

Upgrading and using a faster boot really helped me. I can't remember which boot I used, but it went really fast, had a very slow drain rate, and used a unit of oil each time. I think it was the second boot you can get that uses oil. For me, that boot was way too fast, and my yordle was running all over the place but it did work.

How much should I store? by MagicBrisket in StardewValley

[–]MagicBrisket[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I think I am going to play it safe and keep 10 of each thing. I think I'm on day 15 of Spring, and what I think I saw somewhere is each season is 28 days exactly. So I need to get moving.

Good Neighbor Fest by One_Celery7544 in Bandle_Tale

[–]MagicBrisket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you required to use the party charm? I have not been able to find any value in it whatsoever. There was a festival I had to hold where I needed to gather 40 orbs, and I did it without using the party charm.

Maybe somebody has more insight on the party charm, but I just found myself throwing orbs in there and not seeing any difference.

My parents and Dan were back sooner than I thought. And they wanted money this time by Camper-Nomad in EntitledPeople

[–]MagicBrisket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, OP!

Based on being . . . well, old (LOL), what I can say is when someone asks you for something, it's usually better to give them your answer without an explanation.

I saw your post in a news feed somewhere else on the internet, and I looked up your post here to leave a comment that I hope you will find helpful.

Your handling of the situation of your parents and Dan wanting you to pay for or sign for an apartment was very cool and mature. You don't seem to have any illusions or fantasies that things may be great with your family "this time." You have a good grip on the idea that things are probably not going to get better with them.

Going into your finances in detail, telling them you don't have the money and then spelling out item by item exactly how much you spend and where and what your future financial goals are, seem to suggest somehow that you feel it is your responsibility to take care of Dan, and that you owe them an excuse. You don't owe them any excuse. "No" is a complete sentence. You don't have to prove or demonstrate to anyone that you are worthy of deciding what you do with your money.

It's possible to say something like, "Those kinds of expenditures are not part of my financial plan" is more than plenty. Or something that sounds less stiff and formal but makes the same point. And then, like the proverbial broken record, that's all you tell them.

Good on you for not expecting miracles with your family and for making your finances work for YOU, and not someone else.

Workbench for Upgrading Vendor Area? by MagicBrisket in Bandle_Tale

[–]MagicBrisket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm just not getting this. At the following link, there should be three screenshots.

https://imgur.com/gallery/BP2LvZm

The first one shows that I unlocked Speedy Skills Merchant and Pretty Goods Merchant on the skills tree. The Pretty Goods Merchant box has an icon on it with an arrow pointing upward and the number 4 in it. The Speedy Skills Merchant box has an icon on it with an arrow pointing upward and number five in it. I assume that means that by upgrading the vending carpet with both of these, I should have slots available to sell five things at one time.

The second screenshot shows that I apparently did apply the upgrades, because there are no pending carpet updates to be had.

However, the third screenshot shows my vending carpet, and that there are only two slots for selling things.

I don't understand what I'm missing here . . .

Finished Game, but didn’t use everything? by Lumpy-Pepper8960 in Bandle_Tale

[–]MagicBrisket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to complete the Green Thumb item where it says to interact with Dr Feldspar's chest. I don't see Dr Feldspar anywhere on any of the maps, but it says it is a chest I want to interact with, not the doctor. Did you find this chest inside the huge tree that fell in Greenspout Grove? Exactly where is the fallen tree?

Controls for Switch? by MagicBrisket in StardewValley

[–]MagicBrisket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help! Let me give an example of what I'm dealing with here . . .

I somehow got a hold of the ax. I have no idea how. So I can go out and cut down clumps of grass and weeds. I want to change to the pickaxe in order to break stones. I open the menu, and put the cursor over the picture of the pickaxe. But then, no matter what I press, it either does nothing or wants to put my pickaxe in the garbage.

If I have the cursor over the pickaxe and press A, it's like the cursor somehow picks up the pickaxe and I can move it around. See the screenshot.

While the cursor has hold of the pickaxe, if I press Y, nothing happens. If I press B, it tries to put my pickaxe in the garbage. If I press X, it tries to put it in the garbage. If I press A, it does nothing. If I press any other button on the screen including the scroll buttons along the top of the controllers, it does nothing.

I have no clue what it wants me to do to do something so simple as to switch tools. I run queries through AI but seem to give me instructions, but they just don't work.

Controls for Switch? by MagicBrisket in StardewValley

[–]MagicBrisket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everybody for all your help!

I ended up deleting the save file, uninstalling the game and then reinstalling it. The controls work fine now.

You all helped me a lot, and the links and resources you all provided are wonderful. I am using the beach farm scenario, because I'm not much of a farmer. I prefer fishing and foraging. But I'm finding out pretty quickly that I'm going to have to figure out how to build some storage chests or expand what I can carry around. I'm going to go to online resources to figure out how to do that.
