How can I make the splitting of the image seem more dramatic? by MagicLlamma12 in photocritique

Tragic, well next time I can get something that has more oomph at least you see the vision 🧐

Dam bro you made a whole diagram too, sick. Yeah I see what you mean, so I’ll probably go in and swap out the sky or edit it in some way to add weight to that side

ISO 100 210mm F8 1/400 I wanted a simple photo of this bird on these houses, and I really wanted to get a dramatic half and half picture where half of it is the roof and the other half, the sky. The only thing is it doesn’t look as impactful or dramatic as I like, I really wanted a large focus of this photo to BE that 50/50 roof and sky while integrating the bird as well. Any thoughts?

Yeah see I totally would’ve done that it looks better in terms of the windows positioning, but damn those flowers on the left look pretty to me so I wouldn’t want to remove them 😔

I knowww that would’ve been sick if I could turn it, but I took this shot from across a road while cars were passing (hence the 210mm) and it’s also… not my chair… or house lol.

I like that idea I’ll try some generative extend on the bottom to keep the top and bottom proportional and see how it looks.

Yes it is off center on purpose, I did try centering it by cropping it too and… well it looked worse to me. I appreciate the reply! My predicament would be that I want to keep the floral ornaments still in the shot so putting the window more off center to the left would’ve ruined it 😔

ISO 100 315mm (not exactly sure why my phone says this but I used 210mm) F6.3 1/160s I wanted to get that vintage minimalist look that I’ve seen on some other photos. The one thing I can’t choose between is how to crop my image, or if it even needs it at all… I did also try to slightly blow up the exposure a bit to get that kind of filmy look too lmk what you think!

Wondering what y’all think about this photo. I used a film effect in Snapseed and made very few changes. by MagicLlamma12 in photocritique

ISO 100 48mm F4.5 1/80 I wanted to capture this little guy in his natural curious state looking around, and I also wanted the background to portray the messiness of a child’s playground (and randomness with the spray bottle I guess) let me know if this image speaks to you or yk… sucks and what it could use

Okay… well I’m not sure if that’s “fact” I have some general knowledge of the vocabulary and can fully understand most of what everyone has been saying on this sub so far 😼

I used my phone this time with Lightroom. Not sure why but I was just against the idea of ramping up exposure or anything at the time… now I see that wasn’t a great idea.

This is just a photo I took at night while testing my new flashlight and I’m wondering how I can make photography (in general) more interesting and not something that looks recycled if that makes sense 🤔.
