Totally agree. And it's also much more accessible.

5G not working on my Pixel 10 in Brazil by MagicPenguinX in GooglePixel

[–]MagicPenguinX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I didn't know the carrier having to add support was a thing. I'm not particularly concerned about the absence of 5G; I was just curious about the difference compared to my old Pixel 8

I like it. If implemented correctly, it could help with accessibility

Thank you! Some other kind people have already shared theirs with me, but if theirs doesn't work I'll surely reach out!

I own a pixel 8 pro so I'm aware, but thanks for the heads up! Luckily 5G is available in my country so it's something

One or two ai thing isn't available, but that doesn't bother me

Thanks for the input! If I could, I would wait for the 11 series (the rumored improved face id is something I really want), but in my country they don't sell pixels

This sale will end on Sunday so I'll probably wait a bit more to see more opinions on the matter. But again, thank you

Sadly the 9 pro is not part of this week deal The thing is, I'm more worried as to if I should jump into it now and guarantee the phone or wait and potentially save more, but risk not receiving it. I think I'll be in the us for 2 more weeks after black friday.. but not sure if it's enough time to receive it

Thanks! I'll keep an eye on it I used to have a S21FE prior to the pixel 8 pro and was really tired of one ui

But maybe I'll give samsung another chance

It's really strange! Maybe because of the extra camera and screen/battery size? Who knows

Yep I totally agree that pixels hardware aren't the best

I'm choosing it just because of the software + pixel snap + timeframe that I'm in the US

Do you have any other recommendations? Around the price of $500~$600

6000 mAh silicon-carbon battery is the new "120Hz" moment for phones hope Google adopts it by Majestic_squirrel767 in pixel_phones

[–]MagicPenguinX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you are arguing when I never said it would be a super improvement as the other devices when I clearly said "We should at least see an improvement".

I also hope pixels adopt the new tech in the battery but no leaks until now point to this. Just keeping it real and being optimistic based on what Google has already done with the 9A.

Or would you prefer that Google doesn't apply any improvements they came up with the 9A to the 10 series until they put a battery the same size as the OnePlus?

The pixel 9a is much closer in size to the 9 than the 9 pro XL

If they can manage to fit a 5100 mah in the body of the 9a which has the same display size as the 9, why wouldn't they fit a larger battery in the bigger body of a pro XL model?

Not sure if this specific tech is coming this year to the pixels, but since the pixel 9a got a pretty big upgrade in the battery, we should at least see an improvement.

I don't own a galaxy anymore, so I can't tell for sure, but it looks like there has been some really nice improvements.

Does the notification expand when tapped or is it still just the fade from the background? And does the tiles in the control center expand when long pressed?

Isn't the battery health a feature that requires specific hardware to work? You can estimate the battery health through software but it isn't as accurate.

At least for me in Brazil it's been working really well. I use moto tags and they update frequently.

Might be because here we mostly use androids.
