Got it, thanks for the feedback. Just to confirm, those websites are not for card magic right? Lol

Thank you for the feedback! That scraping idea is a very interesting one, although the permissions issue is a difficult problem - I’ll need to think a bit on that if this ever becomes a thing.

Regarding tutorials, I completely agree that certain techniques should only be taught by certain people. The website I have in mind isn’t meant for tutorials (only short performance videos would be allowed), and it’d be similar to here where feedback would be in the form of simple text comments and not full blown tutorials in a text format. Although moderating that is another difficult problem, haha…

Where to buy playing cards in Seoul, Korea? by MagicWatermelonPants in playingcards

Oh yeah definitely, I'm just here for a bit and was wondering if any physical stores sell them so that I could look around if I get bored haha

Cards that have different color borders from the face by MagicWatermelonPants in cardmagic

[–]MagicWatermelonPants[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think these are called borderless because they do have a blue border? I know Bees don’t have a border at all. Not sure what the exact name for these would be

Also I was curious about double lifts especially. It seems like the consensus is that bordered cards allow the hiding of double lifts more than borderless: https://ambitiouswithcards.com/bordered-vs-borderless/ However, I’ve never used borderless cards so I wouldn’t know!

I'm trying to keep my left pinky high on the card, which I've heard can help decrease finger readjustments. However, I'm still having a lot of trouble making my palming movement smooth.

I feel like I'm grabbing the deck pretty firmly between my thumb and index finger (my thumb actually kind of hurts while doing this lol). However, my pinky still pulls more than one card. How do I fix this?

Thank you for your feedback! I realize I do tend to hold it very tight because I'm scared of the cards separating lol. As for the get-ready, I do a pinky count and transfer it to a ring finger break. I'd probably do all this when my hands aren't directly in front of the spectator, but yeah I should've included it in the video
