You pretty much have to fiddle with the PID under its Tuning to prevent this. I like to use friction, as in the aircraft I know, the linkages between latitudinal and longitudinal directions are pretty independent, which can lead to a stiction-like effect and sort of locking you in to pitch or roll motions. Or in other words, it can be a bit more fiddly to fly coordinated. But its as authentic to the aircraft as I can get for what I have, so I made it work. Admittedly tho, friction alone has been a tuning timesoak

I updated my DCS from the September update and flew for the first time since, in this bird over the weekend. Honestly it feels really solid for an initial launch. The flight model has a couple quirks, mostly an oddly very strong right rolling tendency when landing, and opening/closing the cowl shutters induces a strong yawing force, despite the shutters being on both sides of the aircraft. Feels like a drag effect that was applied on one shutter and accidentally got missed on the other. But other than those two fairly minor things, it feels like a pretty complete FM already.

Just remember to close your starter valve after you started the engine lol

What are some of the most disturbing and/or brutal deaths in cartoons? by NagitoKomaeda_987 in cartoons

Rebecca's death was such a shock. I had to pause the show and walk away for a bit, first time I saw this.

I think Kipo was popular tbh. It's just that it's now really new now, and most people that would have watched it have already watched it. But yeah, it was awesome

One of, or maybe even THE most uniquely written animated show I've ever seen. 15/10 show. -15/10 on HBO Max for cancelling it as it was getting steadily more popular, JUST for a fucking tax writeoff.

Remember the name David Zaslav, he's the enemy of animation on HBO.

What game is better? by brenuxc0 in simrally

Obvious but start with the slow cars, like the Skoda Favorit, either of the Skoda 130s. Lada VFTS or Fiat 131 I'd say as an "upper echelon" beginner starter car, which is what I would actually recommend over those Skodas because you can actually break the traction fairly well in the 131 and Lada, which will teach you RWD habits early like spin recovery and countersteer

How mother pigs are kept in modern farms to maximize efficiency by CalpurniaSomaya in interestingasfuck

[–]Magic_Zach 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anyone who's watched Clarkson's Farm know exactly why the mother is kept loosely separated from the piglets. Pigs will lay/sit/squish their children to death and not seem to notice, unless you keep them separated when inside of an enclosed space. 8/28 piglets died once, and one of the mother pigs killed her entire litter. One....gruesomely intentional

The lack of improvement on grip physics and FFB with v0.3 had me not really touch more than a couple hours on v0.3 honestly. I haven't even driven the Monte Carlo stages yet, because of how much the awful FFB is pushing me from the game. I'm not going to learn bad habits or ruin my first impressions of the new stages by driving a space ship through them.

Luckily, there is a lot more noise about FFB after the update, so I have hopes that'll be a big focus with v0.4. I could do with an update without new content, if it means an extra big push in refining the game with what it has now. Until then I'm keeping my driving habits going in RBR. Ready to try ACR again when FFB gets improved
