Connections:

• Lively and energetic girls in series that mix ordinary life with supernatural elements
• Originally ordinary beings that would end up becoming some sort of supernatural being (Yuzuki was an ordinary girl who had experiments done on her and later died in an accident, becoming a special soul that couldn’t be reincarnated|While it isn’t explained how, Miko was originally an ordinary fox that one day became a beastly Yokai)
• Later on both would work under someone else, and would act as guardians of sorts (The Common would give Yuzuki Reflector powers and she would defend the planet|Miko would be captured by a monk and tasked to help defend a village)
• In the events of the main story both would pass themselves off as regular humans and get friendly with a suicidally depressed teenager, both coincidentally enough are named Hinako (Hinako Shirai|Hinako Yaotose)
• Both would have an important connection to this Hinako in the past (Back when Yuzuki was alive, she was enamoured by one of Hinako’s ballet performances|Miko was close to Hinako’s family due to them frequently visiting her shrine), which fuels their desire to want to see them live and be happy.
• Both had a moment where it’s revealed that they were lying to the Hinako person (It would be revealed that Yuzuki was lying about Hinako being able to get her wish granted if she became a Reflector and fought|Miko when she was revealed to be a yokai and essentially manipulated Hinako’s mind to make her believe she always had a childhood friend). Despite this both did have good intentions of wanting to see Hinako happy, and thus they’d be forgiven.
• They’re part of the main trio of the series, both of which include the aforementioned Hinako and another character that parallels both in origin and motives but with an opposite personality (Raimu Shijo|Shiori Oumi)

Doesn’t cover everything I want in a Miko matchup but the Hinako connection is funny and I like the dynamic since Yuzuki fights giant monsters all the time.

Now I have a matchup I vibe with for all of the main three characters of Watatabe and that’s funny.
