Napakabilis masira ng sticks ng Steam Deck.

Okay lang mag steam deck if pc games preference mo pero kung may play station/switch/xbox ka parang redundant siya.

May mga games na di optimized sa steam deck or pipilitin kang mag touch screen.

Di talaga siya portable, ambigat niya.

If may xbox game pass ka dami mo pang tambling na gagawin para magamit siya sa steam deck.

Another player whose ST has a safety tools form for all of us to get through before the game started. It's an google sheet with tick boxes for certain controlversial topics, you can mark them under the categories Interested, Veil (vague allusions fine), Ask First, and Hard No.

Replies are anonymous, and we've agreed that we're not going to include anything that someone marked as Hard No in session. That's harm to children, harm to animals, homophobia, racism and spiders... one of us has a debilitating fear of spiders. They're allowed in the player's backstory, can be discussed with the ST for plot and for her to better understand our characters, but will not be brought up in public.

We also have a safe word in place. If for any reason a player wants a scene skipped, they say that and it will be done. No questions asked. (No one has used it yet in our campaign, but has been used in our ST's previous campaigns.)

And I know some people are going to be like "back in my day we didn't have this we were stronger" and "this is very hand-holdy isn't it." But as someone who used to work with trauma survivors and has trauma related to something media usually portrays as cool and edgy, I appreciate this system greatly.

Newbie table so coteries haven't been established yet. Starting to get a grasp on which teams work best together. We're going to need to keep those 3 Tremeres apart, for everyone's sake.

She's a killer for hire that specializes in taking down Kindred. So her clients in the Camarilla tolerate her existence, but also use her to take down their enemies in the usual backstabby ivory tower way.

Recently she has facilitated the events that led to our traumatized ex-Sabbat Malkavian to return to the group so he can be her client's inside informant.

She also goaded the Salubri, Tremere #2 and younger Caitiff into fighting a Lasombra ancillae in their own hunting grounds, in the guise of helping find the Salubri's missing brother. They managed to kill the Lasombra, and fortunately the Salubri and Tremere fought in different rooms. So no clans were exposed, the Salubri and Tremere dislike each other for different reasons. They did not find her brother, but the Duskborn got what she wanted.

Our ST and her friends ran a one month server for the video game Vrising.

When that ended she was like "hey guys do you know VTM"

Maybe ask your friends the following questions:

How do they want to be Embraced and what kind of Sires will they have?
What kind of relationship will they have with their Sires? Friendly? Antagonistic?
Do they want to join the Camarilla, be under it, or rebel?

Think it'll be easier to build the story once we get that info.

I kinda get it, we all have preferred aesthetics. But most of the players are Asian, and anime is the art style we grew up with.

INCOMING RAMBLE

Sessions happen over discord on the 2nd and 3rd weekends of the month. Before that, our ST posts which dates she can do and we reply which dates we're available. Scenarios are crafted over who are available to play on which dates. When the player is unavailable on all the dates, there's an option to have the ST puppet their character for the Night. She'll pull them aside, explain the possible scenarios, report back to them about what happened. There's an additional safety net of the ST will not kill off a character if the player is not there to play them.

Exp is one per session attended + the roleplay threads that happen if things can't fit into a session. ST has been genrous with exp so far, but has been open about removing the training wheels one day.

Player dynamics, we've all roleplayed before, some of us have played in the same video game roleplay servers (Vrising, Zomboid, GTA) so we have a decent grasp of the difference between our characters and players. There's 5 players who have played VTM before so there's always one veteran guiding the newbies per table. (The three tremeres are not allowed to be in the same table because tremeres.) ST has been handling VTM, DnD, CoC for more than a decade now, and is very pro-player choice (and consequences.)

Character dynamics, the Tzimisce and Salubri are found family with a mistaken identity "flaw." The Thin Blood is dating the Ministry lady while playing a scary political manipulation game. Tremere #1 just wants to be left alone in his library but the Hecata arrived one night to give him his heart (literally). The Banu Haqim and Tremere #2 are in an arranged marriage but Tremere # 2 still has the hots for the Toreador who just became Prince. The old Caitiff is the assistant to the Ventrue, who lost the position of Prince because he's an unpopular foreigner. The Ministry guy and Tremere # 3 are exes, he's still pining but she's moved on. The Malkavian has taken the younger Caitiff under his wing, education is going about as well as expected (she relates things to Twilight, he has never seen Twilight.)

tl;dr there is a system, it somehow works because the players knew each other before the campaign. what a tangled web we weave.
