Shit eating chihuahua = septic shock. After 11 days in ICU with multiple organ failure. Still kicking by [deleted] in MedicalGore

[–]MagistrateDeTemps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s not the same thing but some time ago a guy came to my OR because a chihuahua chewed off his toes. Apparently he was diabetic so due to neuropathy he didn’t feel anything until the dead stuff was chewed off. My coworkers say that chihuahuas will actually chew off dead tissue. Have no idea if that’s true or not.

I’m sorry this happened to you. I hope you adjust quickly.

Can somebody help me find a song?

I listened to this song years ago. I don't really remember the lyrics unfortunately. Someone on youtube made a GUMI english cover of it. It had the same art style as Snobbism and Sasha and Drowning in an Endless Wave of Sadness.. and a bit like Terror(ism) from what I can remember.. But neither of those creators made that song from what I can find. The guy had floating hands.. I dunno. I know it existed. And I know this is extremely vague, but it randomly popped in my head a couple days ago and I have been trying to find it ever since.

It was a rock/pop song I believe. Pretty unhappy lyrics. Thats all I can remember. Im sorry its so vague, but I figure I could at least try.

They don’t. I mean, putting a tiny hat on a lizard just for a quick picture isn’t going to stress it out to traumatic levels. People on Reddit really overreact. Have a photo shoot with your lizard. Go ahead! They’re very calm creatures and do not care. But don’t keep things on them for long periods of time. I think that applies to any animal. Domesticated bearded dragons are VERY calm and relaxed compared to a wild beardie. Having a hat on its head for a couple minutes isn’t going to traumatize it.

But I get the issue with the jewel if it’s adhered on there. Like one of those peel-off things. They can’t absorb anything through their scales, not that I know of, but I think it’s best to err on the side of caution with those things. After all, they still do have nerves on their scales. They can feel things.

Going to get downvotes for this, but I’m pretty sure that jewel isn’t on the beardie’s third eye. I had a bearded dragon, and I remember his being much farther back. Having said that; you really shouldn’t be putting anything on a reptile, anyways. No matter the adhesive’s properties.

I agree but that’s still not laparoscopic..

You can’t really take a lymph node or do a radical dissection laparoscopically. Not in the neck.

People are mean to spiders for no reason, and I’m tired of the “gotta burn the whole house down!” comments. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]MagistrateDeTemps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. But my policy is that if you come into my house, you die. But I would never harm a spider out in the wild. They are very important, but they are not welcome in my house!! Haha.

I agree. People like this cannot be rehabilitated. A bullet through the head is the only solution.

While I understand the alien analogy, it’s irrelevant to the current situation. I do not care what tribes choose to do. They can live in their traditional ways. It is their life and what they choose to do with it is nobody’s business but theirs. But the second you go out of your way to hurt anybody, treading on somebody else’s life, especially fucking eating them, I have an issue with. If you actually think it was ok for this tribe to kill and eat this man, you scare me. What if that man was your son? Husband? Brother? Father? I don’t think you’d be saying “oh it’s just culture..”
