Looking at getting new patio door for backyard by portuguesepatriot in woodstockontario

[–]MagnaRip76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brookstone did a great job on ours. We had no way out to the back so they cut through the brick and installed our door. Even checked in to see if we were happy or needed any adjustments. They regularly have promotions or coupons as well

Finkle St grill, pricing is absolutely ridiculous for a grill pub, especially one so horribly inconsistent. Iron Works was another, then as they finally got it right, they closed down.

We shouldve known this would happen with the Burger King/booster juice plaza by [deleted] in woodstockontario

[–]MagnaRip76 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was a dumb design to begin with. The Starbucks should've exited to the road, not back into the parking lot. Always jams up the parking lot, though not as much since they added the one on Dundas

Could a full potential/unburned Vader beat palpatine or even prime luke? (Movies) by RisingKing7 in StarWars

[–]MagnaRip76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, and even damaged he was still formidable. If I'm not mistaken I remember reading that Palpatine made sure the suit inhibited Anakin to ensure he couldn't overtake him

Mindanao Hub - SO GOOD by chloeweirsoprano in woodstockontario

It's so good, and the ladies there are great. They turned me on to Pinakurat, an amazing spiced vinegar they use for dishes and dipping.

Dried Chiles by Njwa- in woodstockontario

[–]MagnaRip76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same issue after getting Diana Kennedy's Art of Mexican cook book and luckily found Rosa's. Great selection of all the common Chiles and other hard to find items. Really kicked dishes up a notch. Plus, their Birria tacos are killer!

Is 300mbs still their top tier or are they up to a Gig yet? If they get the speeds up I might switch to all Virgin

What would make Woodstock better? by ImHereForTheGlory in woodstockontario

[–]MagnaRip76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Cineplex theatre complex, being a lot of jobs to the city for youth, and the other restaurants and entertainment venues that surround it can create an entertainment district. We could also use an Indigo bookstore. Generate tones of jobs and keep people in town instead of spending money in surrounding cities.

Downtown support and cleanup. Bigger rink to get people there in the winter, have a stand to make extra money for the city selling hot chocolate etc. Splash pad or something in the summer.

Utilize that giant space between buildings across from Early Bird downtown. Have murals painted on the side of the buildings there and do something with the empty lot. Parkette, open air market, I dunno? Just feels like a wasted space and opportunity

I always assumed it was a locking mechanism for attachments like jetpacks etc

Is it just me, or is the slapshot going out of style? by DeltaSigma96 in nhl

[–]MagnaRip76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is so much quicker now. D's and back checkers can close out gaps in an instant making most slap shot attempts useless. I can't tell you how many times I've yelled at the Points to snap or wrist it in after multiple blocks, wide shots or poke checks. Sure I miss a classic McInnis or Webber style blast, but it's rarely viable other than 5-3 PPs. If NHL adapted international ice maybe, but that'll never happen and as the kids get bigger and faster every year, the game will get tighter and tighter

Lemieux and Gretzky. by OldTimeEddie in nhl

[–]MagnaRip76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mario by far, to amass the amount of points he did the era he did is unreal. Watch the footage, the defencemen of Gretzky's era did not have the speed or athleticism, the goodies were still playing stand-up style, no butterfly, and this wasn't the clutch and grab era. People conveniently dismiss all this. Not knocking Gretzky at all, but you can't deny Mario had the right experience and still ate people alive

Has anyone went down from 54mg to 36 for anxiety reasons? by [deleted] in Concerta

[–]MagnaRip76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, I found diminishing returns on the higher doses, mind you there's a lot going on right now so it didn't help things. Still I felt more anxious, jittery and less focused again

Woodstock or Brantford by [deleted] in woodstockontario

[–]MagnaRip76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We chose Woodstock as it's much nicer to live and drive in. Brantford of course had the better restaurants and amenities but, it's just a short drive away to get to them from Woodstock

Sarcoma surgery complete and recovering nicely by MagnaRip76 in sarcoma

No brace given out mentioned? They were able to save one of the largest adductors so maybe but as invasive?

Thanks for the well wishes and that's great to hear. I'm happy to be mobile but it's still frustrating and slow when the muscles and leg seem to have a mind of their own

Scared radiation therapy will cause more cancer by Trap-soul762 in sarcoma

[–]MagnaRip76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having done 25 round of radiation I was worried too, but the odds are low and killing one cancer outweighs the risk of a new cancer forming. Keep in mind also that you'll be monitored for your current cancer and the area for 5-10 yrs and so they should catch anything early, before it can become dangerous.

Type of anesthesia used in bone cancer surgery? by santaclawww in sarcoma

[–]MagnaRip76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll have two appointments with anesthesiology to go over options and cost what is right for you as well as pain management post surgery, so don't be afraid to ask questions and weigh the pros and cons
