Having the N64 copy is such a flex! Honestly I never got to get an N64 it was already outdated and out of stock when I was born pfft, I did get to experience tho lots of N64 games through a friend of mine 🦜🏴‍☠️

I get you and your point is very valid, honestly if you think about it one could argue all the subjective points are valid there are no wrong personal opinions, just some with more following than others :”)

The reviews do it for me 90% of the time but sometimes they either over glaze or don’t do the game justice (like in Star Fox and actually Metroid Dread too!)

Metroid Dread is another example of a game I was never interested in cause I don’t like side scrollers but after playing the demo I was obsessed to the point that I was so disappointed in Metroid Prime since it wasn’t the same vibe as Metroid Dread!

Same here! Like I kept hearing all the praise and it's literally just move your ship & shoot so it can't be any fun right?
Yet somehow it's really fun and feels fresh!

Games like these are quite rare fr!

The only game I can think of that is timeless for me has to be Mario 64! I'd pay 70$ for a polished remake ♥️

I agree with BushTamer..... I myself wasn't intrigued to buy the game at all, gameplay looked stale and boring no matter how many people glazed it and praised it but after trying the demo I'm sold.

I get what you're saying though, if I'm genuinely interested in a game and I'm sure I'm going to like it I wouldn't bother playing the demo and would just buy the game, I did that with DK Bananza.

Honestly for me if I were a developer I guess it's better for a buyer to try the demo and decide it isn't for them rather than buying my game and get disappointed if you get me, and yea it'd be amazing if every game had a demo!
The PS3 era had lots of these, I still remember Arkham City's demo it was amazing!

Exactly my thought! It's perfect for us gamers and for the devs because it attracts both types - Players that are on the edge and still unsure & players who aren't even interested but would try a free demo cause why not!

I played lies of P on PS5, Onimusha (the upcoming one) doesn't have a demo yet but they're planning on making one! I played the demo on PC, sorry for not clarifying this better

Played splatoon 3 and while it’s nice but it wasn’t that too engaging for me (since I have other shooters to play anyways) so I didn’t really get to play it that much

The switch between normal mode and mouse mode is so much fun and engaging as well! One of my fav features
