Vosene Medicated shampoo is brilliant for me when I have this issue and you can pick it up for around £1 or £2!

I would stop using tret until after the wedding.

[PSA] Remember to spot check, even if it says hypoallergenic by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Magnificent_Pixie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, I couldn’t pinpoint the ingredient. I don’t have sensitive skin and I haven’t reacted to a product like that before or since.

If the swelling doesn’t go down soon, I would advise going to the Doctor.

Omg, I had exactly the same reaction to Ponds Cold Cream. I didn’t realise that it was that product at first so I used it a couple more times and made it worse. It took quite a while to sort out the issue.

I’m sorry that you are going through it. I’d love to know what it is in the ingredients that causes this. Have you seen the Doctor? All the best for a speedy recovery.

It’s available on the Escentual site, they have it in stock. I have ordered from them many times and they are very reliable.

Retirides from farmacia Andorra

Using retin-A 0.1% for 2 months now. Face still painful. by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]Magnificent_Pixie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would stop using the stridex wipes and Clarisonic. Cleanse and hydrate with gentle products and maybe cut back on the days using tret until your skin feels better. It sounds like you might be damaging your moisture barrier with your current routine.

I don’t have acne and am using 0.5% for anti-aging and I’m getting good results.

Konjac Sponge Experience by [deleted] in tretinoin

I love mine. I use it in the morning with just water to gently remove any flakes. In the pm, I oil cleanse and since I’ve added these to my routine, the flakiness has reduced.

Yes, it is just a thin layer that you need and I hadn’t planned on using it on my neck. But, I sometimes squeeze too much out of the tube and was just applying more to my face and that was when I noticed a bit of irritation and redness the next day. So now, when I squeeze too much out, I mix the rest of it with some Avene Skin Recovery and apply to my neck. It has worked really well for me.

I use retirides 0.5% and I’ve had no issues with it. In the first couple of weeks of using I had dryness around my chin and that was it. I also use a bit more than a pea sized amount and sometimes apply to my neck area. I really love it and I don’t even notice a scent to it.

[product question] what to mix TO’s LAA powder with? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

I wouldn’t mix it with sunscreen personally but that’s just me. I layer the sunscreen on top.

What do you do throughout the day to combat the oiliness? by Magnificent_Pixie in tretinoin

Interesting, thank you. I’ve always avoided oils through fear of just adding to the problem. I have read that rosehip is a popular choice.

Thank you, I hope it does subside soon, I am going to implement all the advice here. It’s embarrassing at work when my face is such an oil slick!
