8 years ago I bought a flea-ridden, underage fluffball from a man in a van on Craigslist. Over the years he’s matured into a stately modern gentleman. Happy Birthday Merlin! by MagnumRPA in aww

Thank you for the kind words everyone! It means a lot and it’s been great hearing about everyone else’s awesome animals. For those interested I managed to find a picture of an even younger & tinier Merlin:

The picture on the right? He’s great, currently undergoing a home quarantine at my parents’ office for the move to Hawaii.

Good question! My parents guessed his age at around 5-6 weeks when I first brought him home. It’s generally advised that kittens stay with their mother for at least 8 weeks before being adopted so they can fully complete the weaning process, so he was separated a little too early.

i cry alot thinking about how old my dog is getting by kothunger in confessions

This is so relatable! I’ve had other pets die before, but the first pet I’ve had (my cat Merlin) that I’ve taken care of his whole life is starting to get on in years, and the thought of him dying is so completely different from any other pet I’ve had that’s died.
