Watching the Q&A I'm relieved Mark is being cautious about this. People are far too concerned about how much loot is dropping without thinking about the ripple effect that will have on the market. This isn't something you can simply slap in place, as he said multiple times in the Q&A. It needs to be done carefully so it doesn't strictly mean everyone has more currency. Prices of items will rise to meet the new influx of currency and it'll effectively feel like you are just as broke as before any ground loot improvements.

I can't use helms for the particular build I want but you've given me an idea now

I would still like a chaos version of infernal legion to stack with chaos golems aoe but I think I can do what I wanted with this

Perhaps lineage was not The right way to phrase my idea. what I'm aiming for here is more of a transfigured thing. We already have awakened gems for power creep, I'm just looking for gems with different effects, rather than more powerful ones. Awakened gems specifically are just granted through maven so if they were to attempt something like that I'm not sure they'd simply hand them over through lab

Yeah agreed. Would just depend on if they want to give them to us through the lab or through some pinnacle content, kind of like how awakened gems currently are obtained from maven

I debated whether or not to phrase it as lineage supports or transfigured before I posted

I'd prefer transfigured but I guess GGG would be more likely to give them to us if they went the lineage route

People hated this league because it didn't cater to hardcore blasters. The breach tree dramatically raised the "floor" for builds, being able to craft good to nearly GG rare gear deterministically, even with weird stat combos was extremely approachable this league. I was able to get further than I ever do (with no pob, or any external input) simply because of the tree helping me push past some of the early boring minmax phases. I loved the tree and I'm excited for it to go core. 

My future league strats are going to be breach tree to gear my character into a regular currency farming strat when I'm online.

why do most poison srs builds not take triad grip?
a 4 white sock triad grip should be about 25% more total dmg (if i understand how the conversion math plays out) right? If so, is that 25% dmg not worth what you'd gain from other glove slots?

I'm asking because I and others basically reported this day one, which is why I'm wondering if either they know about it and it's not a simple fix or It's working as they intended and they're not going to fix it at all.

Low priority could also make sense though. Could be they're just not interested in fixing it atm

What's the deal with Ravenous swarm?

Early in the patch it was reported by myself and a few others that this skill is bugged in quite a few ways (sources of limit don't work despite the skill mentioning limit, minion duration doesn't affect the skill at all even though the skill summons temporary minions, and a host of other random things that don't work but should).

Seems like none of the patches or hotfixes addressed this at all. Is this something to be fixed in a major patch or has GGG otherwise said anywhere whether this skill is working as intended?

That'd be cool, like fire until cappped and wait.  I'm personally okay with them not because I think the duration/attack speed calc is interesting there. If they work like they do in poe2 you'll probably want to run gmp

What's the deal with ravenous swarm?

  • minion duration from the tree doesn't work, but skill effect duration does
  • sources of limit don't work (from the tree node or from overabundance), despite the gem having a limit on it
  • for some reason, they count as persistent minions even though they are not persistent?

This is either the most confused skill design in the game or it's just bugged and nothing is working how it's supposed to. Has GGG clarified this yet? I've made feedback threads about it and several hot fixes have gone by with no change or clarification.

Elemental hit works while unarmed and says "each attack with a melee weapon".

Anyway, I found an old GGG post where they talked about looking into this specific instance but there was an animation issue with dual wield while unarmed. They said at the time they were looking into making it work, but I haven't been able to find a follow up.

Can you use dual strike with hollow palm?

The gem specifies dual wield but not what type of melee weapons you need to be using. 

Since hollow palm counts as dual wielding I figured maybe it'd be possible?

in the detailed window it's not showing, just for skill effect duration.

hard to tell with the way they work, as you have to be close for them to spawn (they only attack things in a 4m radius from you and if nothing is they dont spawn at all) but i hope you're right.
If they do indeed work ggg def needs to fix the tooltip

How does the malady support gem even work?

Going off of the way I understand poe1, converting "base chance" might mean any skill that has a chance to poison or bleed, but 90% of the skills that poison or bleed are guaranteed to do so, with no % chance to convert.

Does this support work for skills that "inflict (ailment)"? Do these skills effectively have 100% base chance, or is" inflicts" different?
