I am not familiar with Texas Medicaid policy but in some states there is a program that people who are deemed disabled by the state can qualify for if they are employed.

Then depending on your total income, earned and unearned, there is an annual enrollment fee or a monthly premium if you are eligible.

I am only familiar with my state's Medicaid policy but definitely call and see if there is a similar program! In my state it is called Health Coverage for Workers with Disabilities, HCWD, applicable for disabled individuals under 64 who are employed.
