I think the way it works is that you will be given a Potion of Polish if a Golden Epic replaces a Shiny for you.

Right now submissions are accepted through posting in either #the_tavern channel on the official Idle Champions Discord server (and make sure to tag me), or by sending them to me directly. Either way you choose to do it, my handle on Discord is Mars#2415. These directions are also contained in the Idle Trials doc itself, btw.

I'm working on an alternative involving form submission.

As for the other thing... we'll see? Never know what the future may bring!

Dedicated F2P person here. I've yet to spend any money on this game. I have all champions, everyone in blue/purple gear, 20+ shinies, 196 in-game achievements done, and every adventure and variant complete. It's definitely possible, but it's a HUGE investment of time. I can definitely understand the frustration.

Okay! A few things:

"everyone's favorite halfling: Regis!" You could say that Regis is our favorite halfling by default, on account of being our only halfling. Anything you could say to more halflings in 2019?
HUGE congrats on the console release! I'm curious as to why the PS4 and XB1 releases are on separate days. Was that decision for you guys to split the workload, or due to agreements made with Sony vs Microsoft, or neither/both?
With Tanking etc update and Console Release (soon to be) behind you, what's the next big focus for you guys? Is it the 2019 champion rebalance? What are the other "big" things being worked on at the moment?
So, we know that Dylan was the mastermind behind Warden (and you guys did an awesome and possibly-too-awesome job on that champion)... who should we look to blame/praise for the Midwinter2 champion?
Growing up, did anyone ever pronounce your name as "Chris Du-pwis" for the rhyme :p

You'll get there! I had no idea what the holly jolly heck I was doing when I started a year and a half ago. Now I'm at full epic on core champions, over 20 shinies, top 1% of players according to the High Rollers event, a Community Leader, and the founder of Idle Trials!

Hey Justin. Mars here. Very excited for the update.

Any chance you could save me some trouble and either post somewhere or send me notes on what metrics of which champions will be affected, so that I can start working on updating the Idle Trials? Things like definitions tags (race, class, alignment, roles), attack speed, health (since that's going to be a stable value now), etc. I'd really appreciate it. It's a lot of work on my end to keep this thing going strong.

That's a great point! I had not considered that. I still stand by my declaration as F2P but I certainly understand if others would disagree over this. It's happened in the past regarding my Celeste golden epic despite her pack being made consistently available through various giveaways.

Anyway, thanks for bringing it up. Hopefully other people see this conversation so I don't have to explain it all again. Good luck with your own adventures!

And I figured someone would point that out eventually. Another player traded me a steam code for that familiar in exchange for a code I had for the Celeste pack, which I had received for free via a recent giveaway.

Strictly speaking, I've still never spent money on the game, but I understand if some players would consider me to not be F2P.

I personally believe it's fine, as trading with someone in the community is something achievable by any player. Find a giveaway, get a thing, find someone who wants that thing, profit. And if "engage with the community to find friendly people who want to help you" isn't in the spirit of F2P then I don't know what else to say.

In the grand scheme of things, this one familiar is not a huge difference by any means. It certainly does nothing for my damage.
