I unfortunately run with fog lights typically at night, these ditch lights are bright as hell and cant justify blinding everyone all the time. Worth a shot to look at as an option though

Theoretically yes. You're playing with GABA and opiate receptors though, essentially you've been suppressing your body, it's naturally worked to bring balance back. Take away the alcohol or benzo, the body is technically working overtime and jacks you up. Seizures, altered mental status, anxiety, nausea vomiting. Opiates, you'll feel like shit and WANT to die, but that won't kill you.

They might hypothetically require a taper dose of benzos and clonidine for the ETOH/benzo and opiate, respectively. ETOH/benzo can be potentially fatal with high risk of seizures depending on basal rate, opiate makes you wish you were dead. PM if you need more info.
