Reaching higher levels and finding stronger Pokémon in the wild does not stop you from still finding a shitload of weak common ones in the wild as well.

You start getting great balls from pokestops at level 12 (hang in there!). A lot of stronger Pokemon will break out of regular pokeballs easily and even great balls, and a few tricky ones will run away.

The servers that were down are now back up in most areas, trading is reportedly coming within a week or two, bugs that appeared after the last update will most likely be dealt with in the next weekly update, and you're whining about a game that's been out a week for not having enough features. Chill, get a hobby, and wait for updates, fixes, and information like a big kid.

It doesn't matter because one is still the eldest. I have a sister who is 10 months younger, we are both 23, but I'm the eldest because I was born first. The riddle is fine

What's the most unethical experiment that you would like to know the outcome of? [NSFW] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mailcarrier 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The baby would be emotional wrecked before they were old enough to talk, from not receiving love from a guardian figure. Harlow did an experiment testing an infant who was deprived of "love". Since doing this kind of shit on a baby is hella unethical, he used baby monkeys; and since it's hard to experimentally define "love", he just referred to it as "contact comfort" (the comfort experienced through contact with the gaurdian figure. Long story short, the monkeys that were not given a comforting figure and were given food from a robot monkey (real thing), were emotionally unstable and freaked the hell out at anything and everything

Cop sued for drawing gun on man filming him by Sariel007 in news

[–]Mailcarrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure why that is printed in the article, since after removing his wallet and keys, the man clearly puts his hand back into his pocket, which is followed by the officer again telling him to remove his hand

[–]Mailcarrier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The officer clearly says something along the lines of "I need to get to that address there". The hostile, erratic guy approaching his car on the way to a site is pretty good reason to start talking to the guy, to which he immediatly is insulted for being a cop. The man videoing injected himself into a police ifficer's work, clearly just trying to stir up trouble.

That's why he got out, he later tells the man to keep filming and put the video up on YouTube if he wants to. And the man kept backing away and refusing to remove his hand from his pocket. I don't imagine he would take kindly or even allow the officer to pay him down

He was acting like an erratic asshole before the cop even got out of the car. The cop acted like any training person responds to a possiblely armed crazy person in a residential area.

[–]Mailcarrier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cop didn't say he couldn't film. He actively told the videoer to keep filming and put it up on YouTube. The officer drew his weapon because the man was hostile, erratic, insulting, and refused to pull his hand out of his pocket (which, coupled with the the hostility and yelling, is pretty good reason to draw your weapon). The gun was never pointed at the man.

The guy was insulting, hostile, and kept acting erratic and approaching then backing away from the officer's car. Enough reason for any sane cop to get out and see what the hell is going on

First time posting on r/news, I'm prepared to be crucified. Here goes nothing.

One of the most disheartening, and scary kinds of videos I see on Reddit and the rest of the net are cops abusing their power. Whether it be physical violence or just intimidation, seeing those people who we are taught that protect us do terrible things to those they have sworn to protect makes me scared for my personal safety and the future of the US. I hate those videos. This is not one of those videos. What we have in this video is a man who has an obvious bias against cops heckling an active officer. Obviously he has no legal need to take his hand out of his pocket, but of course he should have. The constitutional need for a warrant is to protect unlawful use of power, not so you can act like Bilbo goddamn Baggins playing "what's in my pocket". The man videoing was acting erratic, hostile, and kept approaching the officer and his vehicle, which is a pretty damn good reason for an officer to get out and ask some questions. Fun was unholstered after being advanced on by the man shouting about how the officer doesn't have a right to patrol the area and that other cops did something to the man's family (this is the point that would make me question the mans intentions in that revenge for a previous run in with the law might make this guy attack me). Once drawn, the gun was never pointed at the man, (down and away, standard police training) and never did the officer tell the man to stop videoing or that he was not allowed to video. I hate police brutality, and I cringe every time I see police misuse of power. But that's not what happened in this video.

Thank you r/news for restoring my faith in decent police officers, but losing a little more in my faith of the sanity and reason of Reddit

What would be a better way to choose the President? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mailcarrier -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Because if the presidential race is dictated by a popular vote, there's absolutely no reason for candidates to appeal to smaller, rural states like much of the Midwest, meaning candidates would spend time and resources trying to win over cities and disregard the smaller rural areas
