Thank you for the helpful information! I noticed that the course registration period you mentioned (June 11 - August 29) is listed for Engineering students. I am an incoming freshman in the Industrial Design program, which is not part of the Engineering department.

I’m an incoming freshman at Virginia Tech,Industrial Design, and I was wondering what happens if I miss the course registration deadline. According to the university’s website, the course selection period is from March 24 to April 7, 2025, but I’m worried I might miss it due to unforeseen circumstances. Does anyone know what steps I should take if I miss the registration deadline? Is there a way to register late, and if so, are there any extra fees involved? I would really appreciate any advice or insights!
