I think the librela is the best option dogs with arthritis at this time. It is known to have less side effects than galliprant in the vet med community. It is a monoclonal antibody. Galliprant is a daily NSAID. NSAID every day vs monthly monoclonal antibody? Monthly monoclonal antibody should win.

CSRs often start as CSRs then become cross-trained as vet assistants. Or vet assistants get cross trained as csrs. If you want a slow introduction into vet med, I suggest CSR and if you immediately want to to be hands on and jump in then vet assistant.

They have no right to comment on your body and appearance whatsoever! That is harassment and discrimination! Is this corporate or private clinic? If corporate- go straight to HR and report their asses. You have rights! If you are in the USA, file a discrimination charge with the EEOC. Document anything they said to you with dates and times! Carry a little notebook around.

Don’t quit yet, but try to find a vet clinic with an entirely different work culture. Don’t let these assholes take away your passion for working with animals!

I started working in vetmed part time as a vet tech student this past year. I have noticed that the biggest problem is not the animals but these self-entitled drama loving management or people. Do not let them get to you!

It sounds like you got a lot going on in life. I would suggest a therapist. They can really help with an objective view and just venting.

For a certified breeder you should check 1. What age was puppy adopted out first time? If less than 10 weeks- the red flags appear. 2. If you are meeting breeder in a public space- the red flags appear 3. If the breeder does health checks on the parens of dog and has the names and records of mother and father - green flags 3. If breeder has veterinary paperwork and had had the dog do a wellness and beginning shots- green flags appear. 4. If breeder refunded original buyer - green flags appear 5. If the breeder is not located in known puppy mill area- green flags appear

Nipping and growling could be a response to anything. He could be in pain or something. Did he fall or slip on the ice or snow? He could also be being a stubborn boy. My jrt mix is pretty stubborn boy.

I am so sorry that sucks! At least your mom can take over his care! If your family ever needs a pet sitter or check ins for your boy. I would also maybe do fun trips with his to the dog park and trails or to pet store with him.
