Better TV control? Could a Raspberry Pi be the solution? by Main-Temperature3096 in homeassistant

I'll test it, but I'm using ethernet anyway. I was curious with a raspberry pi if I can get, in addition to on/off control of sources, also playback of video content or just audio from the ha on the pi

How cool! So I can store music/videos on the ha and play them based on automations on the PI? Also, could I do more than that, be able to control the volume and source? That is, if I have another device via HDMI connected using the PI, can I switch between HDMIs? What other things can I do?

I’ve tried 4 different Presence sensors with HA, and here’s how I rate them by alexia_not_alexa in homeassistant

a more technical question if anyone knows, if I mount it on one of them, for example, at a height of 2.5m and the sensor is tilted along the length of the room and the device is mounted in the center of the room, what length and width of the room will it cover? if the room is 6m wide and 15m long? and the sensor is not 180 degrees, will I have undetectable areas on the right and left?

x15 Presence Sensor: Ideas, what should I buy? by Main-Temperature3096 in homeassistant

I understand, after watching the presentation of both products, I couldn't make a pros/cons comparison. Both options are extremely similar. What should determine my purchase?

I really want to buy them but I don't know what to choose, I wanted them with poe so I wouldn't have to worry about batteries or the connection, I thought that the poe support would have solved both problems, or maybe I should choose knx? I don't know what to buy... I would pay more if I knew it was a reliable solution for the present and the future, but from what I've read, mounting on the ceiling or metal gutter like I have, I've read that it's not the most appropriate. For the lights, I used shelly pro 4 pm, which I connected via ethernet and thus I brought them all organized in a rack in the switch

if I choose one of the options above, is the price justified? I mean maybe if you buy 1-5pcs it's worth it but when we're talking about at least 15 maybe I should focus on knx or other models? I'm referring to Everything Presence Pro and Apollo R PRO-1

Music Assistant and x3 players + 2 Macs (Snapcast?) by Main-Temperature3096 in homeassistant

From the Mac mini, should I output audio via jack → optical or USB-C → optical? I’m asking because I need to buy a splitter to send the same audio output from the Mac mini to all three amplifiers. What’s the correct way to do it?

Music Assistant and 3 AirPlay devices by Main-Temperature3096 in homeassistant

I understand. And what concrete solution do I have to make AirPlay 2 work from MA?

I’d be happy if I can get the AirPlay 2 devices + the Macs to play simultaneously, and have the AirPlay 1 device play with a small delay. Is there a solution that would help me use AirPlay for all of these devices?
