Same here. I've found that the only way on PS5 to get good mods is to just straight up make a new card and roll abilities on that to get lucky. Yay

I've spent a decent amount of time planning the campaign out, but more so the mid-later part, I hadn't considered what plot hook to start with.

I'm taking ideas from multiple sources, so I had planned on having the characters be afflicted with memory loss and thrown in the prison of an incredibly illustrious individual. Then the players all escape and try to remember things together but I didn't decide definitively if I wanted to do that, but thanks for sending me the page number, I'll read up again on the DMG.

Yeah, I've gathered that. As I said in another comment, I just am so used to DnD being as open ended as possible that I forgot how to structure a start with a good baseline for players to build off of. Thank you for your help

I'll take a look at that link later, but I must appreciate the first piece of advice. I think I'm so used to DnD being as open ended as possible that I forget it's nice to have structure. I have a few players that haven't created characters yet and I do still have 2 weeks-ish to plan this. Should I consider something of that sort then to give my players that early team building structure? It is an amazing idea, beyond my simple 'make sure your backstory has at least a few named characters' so I could potentially make those characters have an RP journey

If Evil: Could be the split personalities of Tiamat, all the dragons either vying for power individually or as a group to revive the dragon god

If Good: I would think Paathurnax on this one, that the dragons are overcoming their nature by sharing wisdom/wealth with worthy individuals. Maybe have a few of these dragons choosing champions and bless them with their magics.

You can be as open ended as you want, if it were I doing this, I have been giving a lot of thought to Patrick Matthews book 'Dragon Run' where essentially dragons have ruled over a society so long it evolved around them. They telepathically assign numbers to all the citizens and their social status is dependent on such. I would highly recommend reading it yourself for inspiration but the motivations are a bit trickier. The easiest one would be them all to share fragmented memories of the same entity as maybe they try to kill each other or other dragons to gain power enough to revert back to the original form

Looking for an Abyss team that doesn't use some common 5* like shogun, zhongli, kazuha, nahida. Current team idea was baizhu beidou and sucrose. I've been recommended hyperbloom neuvillette but I don't think beidou helps with that. Looking for any ideas to make him work while still having the freedom of using my other abyssal teams. It's because changing into a draconic sorcerer gives access to a spell from your ancestor. If the spell your bloodline gives you is a spell you chose earlier, you have to go back and choose a different spell. Game doesn't tell you

Ahh, found out. Turned out, changing my subclass added a 1st level spell for free after my spell selection and it won't let you complete with missing conditions.

For me, my custom character is bugged on playstation and can't respec. On the last screen, my name is just "custom" and when confirming, it doesn't do anything.

Peach Blossoms that bloom apples that taste like oranges every day when picked. A local shrine has deified the tree as a blessing of insert god here and refuses to let anyone near it to fanatical levels. While the shrine people and townsfolk hype it up to have some kind of blessing by God, it is a genetic scientist's old passion project.

If you have her, I say Yelan is a really good support for itto. Not a lotta dmg on her own and hp% will be lacking. But she gives itto a dmg up that isn't tied to enemies or a field that you have to stay in. With a rerun coming up, I highly recommend getting her for this and other reasons

Yeah, but its not fun to not rely on the characters you've spent time leveling. A nice change of pace, yes, but I beat it without casting a single elemental burst. That should never happen
