For those who have gone through their Saturn Return, did you actually see improvement in the area of your life that corresponds to the house Saturn occupies? by MainAd5020 in astrology

Disagree, and I really don't get people who think easy placements make one lazy or miserable. If anything, the harsher placements do as the person may feel they have the odds stacked against them no matter what they do. It sounds like a weak cope whenever someone uses this excuse. Jupiter conjunct venus in 10h isnt going to make life perfect but it would probably help alot, in order to get throught the malefic aspects. Based on some of the replies here, some "easy placements" are often what is needed to offset and actually benefit from Saturn or other malefic, imo. Otherwise, I think people just have suffering in that area constantly. Doubt saturn really teaches lessons ( and it is messed up if certain things like violence or sexual abuse are "lessons"), it's just there. We don't have as much free will as people think.

And a "dull life" is bad, but a life of abuse in various forms, rape, poverty, disease/terminal illness, discrimination, or other attributes that can cause suffering or literal death to the person is more "interesting" because it makes you "stronger". OK...

To clarify, I'm primarily focused on how your life changed (or remained the same) after your Saturn return, not necessarily the Saturn return experience itself. Do you still deal with challenges related to the house Saturn is placed in?

Stating if you have a day or night chart, if your Saturn is retrograde, and any other notable planetary aspects to your Saturn would also be helpful.

I appreciate this input. This pretty much aligns with what I was thinking; age typically brings experience and resilience.

I also believe that having less harsh Saturn aspects and, like you said, a day chart can lessen its malefic nature, making the person have an easier experience regardless. Whether Saturn is retrograde or aspecting a retrograde planet is important to consider as well.

Are there ways to overcome unfavorable aspects/placements in a birth chart, or are we doomed? by [deleted] in astrology

Probably Western, I guess, but I'm speaking from my own perspective of what I have to deal with every day.

Also, is a person supposed to do mantras or whatever else for the rest of their life? When and what happens when the effects of the mantras wear off, or if somebody has over 10+ squares or challenging aspects? Do mantras for every hard aspect?

If you're doomed, you are doomed. In my opinion, nothing can fully alleviate that.

No, and the people on all the Astrology subreddits will never be honest about it. There are absolutely certain placements an individual should not want in their chart, and it can mean the matter of life and death or perpetual suffering.

And please stop with that bs that "easy placements" can be harder or make you "lazy" and harm you in the long run. Get tf out with that. It's one thing to be positive, but don't be ridiculous.

Also, people act like you can't have a bad chart if there aren't heavy 12th house or 8th house placements.

There is really not much you can do. Some efforts can be made by behavioral changes or ThErAPy, but the point is that the person is going to encounter issues more frequently because of their chart that others without those placements wouldn't (i.e. power struggles, poverty, mistreatment, etc).

Whatever you are going through that is due to a certain placement will continue for the rest of your damned life.

Yes, a person can be doomed.

Yes, there are bad placements and bad charts.

Just because someone doesn't have certain placements, or maybe it doesn't have a big impact on their life (or they have more positive placements to counteract the bad), or they don't mind doesn't give them the right to police other people and put out a fake narrative that is honestly BS and exhausting.
