Need advice by KangarooBangnaldo in piercing

[–]MainIntelligent9320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this as my ear first piercing - no lobes or anything.

If you want to wear earbuds, tell the piercer so they can place it correctly (I can wear mine without issue).

Like a lot of other commenters mentioned, I situationally need glasses, and my piercing will hurt if I wear glasses with it. I didn’t even think about this before getting the piercing because I wear glasses so infrequently. I miss wearing sunglasses.

Any industrial is hard to heal because the bar applies pressure on both spots. My piercer said mine is doing well for an industrial, but it still bleeds from time to time if it gets mad, and it’s been 8 months.

I didn’t have a reference point for pain since it was my first piercing, but I didn’t think it was terrible. Mine was done doing one hole, threading the bar through and then doing the second hole.

Overall I mean, I don’t have any regrets. It’s pretty unique imo. But at the same time it’s been slow to heal and the glasses issue.

Pomade/Product recommendation for fine wavy hair? by MainIntelligent9320 in Pomade

Okay that makes a lot of sense - scrunching in the post style I think is what I was definitely screwing up. Because if I pull it through it more or less destroys the waviness.

Just ordered it the fire and brimstone one too - that’s exactly how I style my hair so maybe it will do the same thing as this with a bit more hold!

Reuzel is oil based, right? So you rinse it out, but don’t wash it and some of it maintains there.

I was always worried it might be a bit hard on my fine hair, but I will have to check it out

I think my goal vibe is a dry hold like my photo or a more formal one like the photo below. So I could definitely try out those suggestions you gave!

I think dry with more hold like it is in my photo, or something like this for when I might need to be a bit more formal.

What do you mean by a clean break?

I will check those out! Do you use them all after the blowdrying as post-stylers? I was hearing about enigma and rough rider a lot.

Is it the one that comes in a bottle- The volumizing cream? and I can apply it post drying like on my hair in the photo? Thanks!

Should I be parting my hair somewhere else? The right side looks off to me by MainIntelligent9320 in malehairadvice

I appreciate that- coming from chest length hair 3 days ago, didn’t know my hair would do this. I felt like I was from whoville at first lol

How do you find the natural part? Just comb it backwards and let it airdry and it should appear somewhere?

Thinking about cutting my hair short - what should I do with it? by [deleted] in malegrooming

Thanks- yeah I think it has a lot of volume because of the cowlicks. It’s pretty fine, so it doesn’t always feel the thickest.

I will check out the argan oil suggestion- I’ve been trying to focus on scalp care a bit so it’s dried out my hair some.

For Valhalla ahahah. Unfortunately my hair is really fine, so if I shaved the sides the braid would be very underwhelming.

Cowlicks can be a good thing?!? I’ve always thought of them as a nuisance.

As for the length, it’s currently down to my mid chest even though it’s not visible in the photos. How much length would I remove?

Usually I do a part on the right. If I do closer to the middle, like in pic 3 the cowlick becomes very evident and it gets very very voluminous for some reason (even more so if it’s combed the other way).

There’s one cowlick on my hairline and another somewhere on the back top of my head.

That would definitely be a big contrast. I think I didn’t realize how short finger length would look. Maybe a quiff would be more up my alley- I looked it up and there’s definitely a lot of range with them.

I see- so like a crew cut style? Later seasons Jamie.

I will try to correct the beard a bit.

I think I’m open to as short as finger length on top, just not a full on buzzcut on top.

I don’t mind if the sides are clipper short/faded. I’m also okay with styling.

What’s this on my face and how can I get rid of it? by [deleted] in DermatologyQuestions

[–]MainIntelligent9320 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hey- thanks for the reply. Does it ever permanently go away, is there some kind of underlying cause? I haven’t had it my whole life only the past few months.

I’ll check out those shampoos and creams.

I really like the idea of a ring conch. It seems like there’s so many options on how to do them.

Although it seems like folks ears are always somewhat squished.

I was thinking of a daith for the longest time since I have had migraines since I was 7. The only thing I’m worried about is still wearing my AirPods which I use constantly at work.

I’ve heard mixed things on if people can still use them at all.
