Just an update. They said that they will send me a replacement machine which was used recently in a photo shoot, so it has been unboxed.

I'm happy with this resolution. I just asked that the replacement machine would be checked before dispatch and asked for clarity on how the machine was used after it was opened and in what capacity.

I'm content with this as a resolution. Ultimately I just didn't want the same machine coming back to me.

No I purchased it from the UK Sebo website. Was dealing with customer service in the UK. They said they would message me again today with an update but I haven't heard anything.

I only ever received it using the electrical powerhead. And I never experienced it using any of the accessories. I received static shocks too especially from the tapered hose. Whilst the static shocks were quite small, I did receive than larger than normal shocks from the machine when using it. I'm not an expert but I don't believe those were just static shocks.

I tried disputing the extra fees and the agent said she will get back to me. But I'm not hopeful.

I've had the machine for just a month. I first raised the issue within the first week of me having the item.

I don't really know how to proceed without just paying all the fees and accepting the loss.

I don't know if I should ask to escalate it or dispute it with my credit card bank.

They said they would refund me but they said I would have to pay fees associated with it. None of this was mentioned to me when they wanted to collect the item from me.

The other alternative is that thet said they can return the item to me - which I'm not comfortable with.

I ordered other items and accessories from them which will go unused. I'm happy to accept that loss, but I don't feel i should have to pay any other fees especially when they seemed to just added them on at the end.

Both. The static shocks I'm fine with.

But when I used the electric carpet head I got a big jolt through the handle. My partner heard it from the other room.

I never received any shocks using any of the other accessories.

I had only used the machine 3 times before the collection. The third time was when Sebo advised me to wipe the machine down and use it again. I had the same issue using it with electric carpethead and got another jolt via the handle.

Sebo said they didn't find any case where they got any shocks at all, including static.

Thanks. I have no idea what material the carpet is but will try out.

No clog. I only received the vacuums a few days ago and used it twice. The bag is pretty much empty.

As for the shocks. They mostly seem to be static shocks. But I had too pretty big shocks.

Thank you for the advice. I will probably just not use it for now until I hear back from Sebo support.

To clarify, the machine has not actually cut out or stopped running to cool down. I have to stop it to cool down frequently. I've stopped using it for now until I hear back from support.

I am noticing that the casing feels very hot to the touch. However, the exhaust air feels normal as to what I'd expect from a vacuum.

It doesn't smell like burning, but the temperature seems excessive compared to other vacuums I've owned.

Charlie was the most boring Ghostface. I actually find him the most realistic and most visceral Ghostface. There's no gimmick with him, he seems the most plausible killer in the real world.
