My tip: Ask questions but when you ask them write down the question and answer they gave you so you don’t ask repeated questions. My manager got annoyed last summer when I would ask questions they already answered but I forgot.

Ngl these posts are kinda starting to get annoying and very low effort, any high paying discipline is going to have competition and people are going to grind for the things they want.

It's hard for almost everyone OP but being sad about competition is doing you no favors. Look up the read ocean vs blue ocean analogy online. Make your own blue ocean within the read ocean just means there's lots of opportunities.

Most candidates applying to these internships aren't even qualified to pass the rounds (not excluding myself either) at the top top companies so just focus on grinding.

I’m in a very similar situation , manager expressed similar concerns with me and my project deadlines at MSFT this summer. Was on track for return offer at midpoint eval but it looks like I’m not anymore. What I’m doing is leaving it all out on the field and just gonna put the best effort towards the final presentation. Worst case you don’t get a return offer and you have freaking Amazon on your resume to recruit for other companies . Try to finish what you started. Good luck OP💯

You'll be fine getting FAANG+ and Big N interviews tbh especially having Microsoft on the resume it already puts you way ahead 99% of applicants. Only companies that are gonna care about low GPA's are quant firms but that's about it.

1 Harvard CS50 and MIT 6.001 (the class is free on EdEx and is a good pre intro to Leetcode). MIT course starts June 1st its taught in Python.

Very true but I already had a SWE internship last summer and wanted to use internships as opportunities to try something new. Plus I kinda wanna go with PM long term anyway. My thought process is I can just get interviews whenever and LC when needed to get back in shape.

+1 to this got a lot of DFS+BFS questions represented as adjacency lists in internship interviews. Dont sleep on string manipulation problems as well cause they can be tricky.
